It's from FEMA and consists of two files. One is a cover letter the second not certain what it contains. It's a Letter Of Map Change (LOMC) that removes us from the flood zone, thereby saving us over $800 a year in insurance premium. I've downloaded it from the FEMA site as instructed, but when I go to open either one it tells me the file is damaged and can't be repaired. This is the first time I've had this trouble reading a PDF file, not sure what to do next. I need to FAX these documents to my bank.

without seeing it Im just guessing.  Sometimes (if you look hard) there is a button called emable printing.

Also you sometimes use the features in your computer to change the file type to one that is compatible with your system.

Instead of downloading. Can you simply open on their site to view. Then select in upper left corner "file" save a copy. And then see if you can open from your computer. I've had success with this approach before.

Well, I kept at it and downloaded if from FEMA to a different part of the computer. It did enable me to open the main document I'm interested in so was able to print it out. Kept fiddling with it but the cover letter never would open. So as an experiment, I went back to the FEMA site, downloaded it and added a "-1" on the end of the file name. Voila....it worked. I printed out both documents and will scan them in so I have two sources in the future.
