I get it.  Motorcycles are usually shiny.  Chrome is good. Polish is good.  Some spend as much time polishing as they do riding.  (I'm not one of them).

I've had several dozen motorcycles over the decades, but this new-to-me Valkyrie has got to be the chromiest, shiniest, blingiest bike I've ever owned.

Why do I say this?

Well, after riding this thing nearly every day for the last month...in Arizona...I have discovered something.    See, Arizona gets a lot of sun.  (Duh!)  So, between the hours of, roughly, 11AM and 2PM there does not seem to be an angle of direction or travel in which the SUN is not reflecting off headlight/handlebar/valve covers/tank filler/etc.   These babies reflect a lot of light!

Kind of a dumb thing to point out, but today coming home from work early, I had to sit way off to one side as the sun was blinding me off the right valve cover.    Couldn't escape it!

And I love it!   I am quickly coming to the conclusion that this is the best engineered, most versatile, most enjoyable motorcycle I have ever owned.

And it's rough to ride around midday when it's really sunny out...

Sure sure....you Florida folks can relate to the Arizona guys riding for the last month every day.  Some around these parts up north are just cracking the shell open on the hibernation egg.
