Work sucks _Let's ride

West Virgina

« on: April 03, 2015, 05:26:59 PM »

Candy and myself did a Memorial ride for those that we have lost last June...the turnout was really good and we have another set up for Sunday June 7th leaving the Lewisburg (24901) West Virginia Walmart at 11:30 am . The local police dept has already contacted me and will be giving us an escort out of town . From there we will take a nice 50-60 mile ride north up to the highest point on the Scenic Highway ( rt 150)  where I will have bottles of gas and balloons along with sharpies to write messages to those we have lost . We will release all the balloons together and then ride on across the Scenic Highway and on to Droop Mountain State Park..I have rented the whole south end with shelter ,outside restrooms,a stage and seating for 300-400..A local 4H club and their families will have a feed set up for us and the Ead's Mountain Boys will be set up doing Bluegrass-Gospel music for us....
Just throwing it out there if any of my Valkyrie family wants to join us...We will be remembering Old Skool and Thumper ......This is a no fee ride the only $$$ involved is to support the 4H club that will be providing the food....BTW , past events where I used these kids = some Amazing food...

That is a super thing to do. And, you're a good man for doing it.

Hey Wolf, we miss y'all! Sounds like a great ride! (I especially like the balloons!)
Lets see, 299.66 miles from here to Lewisburg on Sat. (more like 400+ enjoyin' some of your areas scenic backroads).
Roll with friends (old & new) Sunday morn to some more new roads & scenery. (Maybe even get to entertain said old & new friends with Daffy Duck voice!)
Get to check out Droop Mountain State Park & enjoy some good grub & tunes.
Leave way too late & blast azz back to the big blue road & 299.66 miles home to go to work in the morn.
PRICELESS!!
(Note to self; Call both of us in "sick" for Monday the 8th, stay Sunday night, & enjoy even more beautiful scenic backroads in West "by God" Virginia!)
Sugars schedule is crazy that time of year & she could end up workin' 12's straight through that weekend so we wont know 'till the last minute, but.........
Got y'all on the calender & really wanna make this ride with ya! Awesome thing you're doin', hope to be a part of it! Roll safe Brother!
