3 of us left Canton, GA Saturday morning to head to the bumpy bits NW of Chattanooga.

Back roads to Lookout Mtn, GA.

No flying. Too much wind.

The ramp is about 1,300 feet above the valley floor below and about 2,100 above sea level.

Then north past Ruby Falls to Racoon Mountain. Luckily we didn't get exposed to the T-virus Cheesy

Before 9/11 one used to be able to take a ride on an elevator from the visitor center at the top of the mountain down to the turbine room.

From Racoon Mtn we kept heading north looking for Daus Mtn Rd. Got turned around a couple of times but eventually found it.

It was fun but we rode W to E. It would have been better E to W. Didn't have time to turn around.

Styed overnight in Monteagle, TN at the Mountain Inn. $52 with taxes for a single. Best value in town. No fridges in rooms. Cheap and clean.

Sunday up with a breakfast of champions at the Waffle House.

Then south to Little River Canyon.

I've got more photos but as usual Photbucket is having a fit and will not upload them. Par for the course.
