...parked your Valkyrie, gone into a store, made your purchase,
then come out and found someone taking photos of your bike?

And not with a phone cam., but with an expensive SLR type.

I've had it happen twice. It is flattering, but at the same time
a little odd.

works good for talking to other hot ladies as well coming up to you to chat.  coolsmiley

So far, the wife hasn't been with me when this has happened in the parking lot.   Shocked

I try to avoid keeping the Valk sparkly clean all the time for it would get me into more trouble.  Wink

Once I had a guy pull me over to talk in a parking lot of a hardware store.  I was in a rush to get in and out to go elsewhere on time, but he wanted to chat for like 20 minutes would not shut up.  Pretty soon if us Valk riders were nearby in Vegas,  we'd be having the Count from Count's Customs bike/car shop pull us over wanting to admire/chat about our Valks and trying to buy the bike.  For him, I'd let mine go for 8 grand, maybe???

I've come out of restaurants a couple of times to find folks taking pictures of THEIR KID ON MY VALK!

Does that count?

Friend of mine had that happen to him on his big Yamaha, kid sitting on it and kicking the sides. He asked the father if he had a car nearby....yeah, over there. So my friend told his kid to go climb on the hood. You should have heard the dad scream at him then, so my bud then suggested he learn to respect other people's property and not take liberties. He made his point rather effectively I thought.

I really don't own anything that I love enough to hurt the feelings of a child or an admiring woman.  Well, maybe those of a disrespectful middle aged man.   Wink

I've just explained the dangers... Hot pipes, (unlikely) chance of knocking bike over, owner less understanding, etc.

I've come to the conclusion there are things in life that some people feel entitled to--pick up trucks, dogs, and motorcycles.  They'll use your truck bed for trash, insist on petting your dog whether he likes it or not, and sit on your bike.  And should that dog bite or that bike's pipes burn them, they'll likely have a lawyer to make it your fault.

I appreciate the desiree to admire, but not hands on. Km

Not long after I got Valkyrie, I was at a local Bar-B-Que joint for lunch, and when I came outside there was a group of Oriental guys huddled around my bike. The Oriental guys were not a surprise as the eaterie is close to the industrial park where there are many foregin companies. When I approached them one of the guys greeted me and informed me that the company he works for makes he Valkyries radiator. And while they knew the radiator inside out, they had never seen one on a Valkyrie! Just so you know, if you have a Valkyrie, the radiator was made in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
