Saw a lightning report for Friendswood last night, said to take shelter immediately.  Bet there was some hunkering down for awhile there!  Glad everyone's OK.   cooldude

Thanks for the update Oss, was wondering how you all were fairing so far. Didn't think I could take 7 days riding in the rain , so didn't make it this year. Guess I should have 'caged' it like some of y'all did. Take care and enjoy the good times !!

That was pretty intense... Don't mind the rain, hopefully it stays just rain and we're actually able to visit some tonight!

Oss didn't mention that those of us who went out for German food last night got rained on, too.  INSIDE the restaurant!!

It was some nasty weather.

A fair portion of the facility is an "enclosed patio".  Not well enclosed, it seems.  The band shut down immediately, the tables they WERE going to put us at were drenched.  Water was coming down, power was blinking, and they said the front lobby was flooding .....

It's one of those Texas things, we try to get the rains over quickly, so we dump it at better than an inch an hour.    Flash flood watches, lightning strike warnings.  Night before included tornado warnings.  Welcome to Texas!

Great finally getting to meet you and the wife, Oss.  Thanks to TxDeb for a great hop into the Galveston area yesterday with our smal group.  What an incredible spread Mark and Charlene put out for us at the GOTF.  Thanks for your generosity and big hearts, guys! angel

Wonderful time seeing old friends and making new ones-and we hope to hear that the charity was the big winner! cooldude

Everyone ride home safely, and our best to all in your travels.  It does appear that the water and light show these Texans put on for us is finally over! Shocked
