Hello Evan!

I had a great ride today.  I am working in Central California for a few weeks.  I rode from Visalia to Sequoia National Park.  Great riding weather, 65 degrees.  No wind.  Light traffic.

California is interesting in its diversity of geography.  It seems like there will be plenty of food for the coming year even with the drought.

A couple hundred miles for me today.  From Hoover, AL, to Vincent, then the twisty road north. Beautiful day, lots of riders out.

Wow Greg

198 is definitely on my short list of roads to hit next time I am in California

I love the area around Lake Tahoe coming up from Sacramento and also down to Yosemite

The East mountains of California have some awesome scenery

How much snow is still left up in the park and where did you find a motorcycle?

I rode for about 3 hours today. It was on dirt roads and cow trails so not many miles. I rode out to the tree we keep here in Curry county for pictures and such.

I didn't see snow today. 198 is a riders dream though.  It's great to ride the valley roads but not for the degree of difficulty. To see the different crops is great. Almond trees, walnut trees, fruit trees, strawberries, grape vines, onion fields, and others. There is a different "feel" here. I hope to ride a good portion of the PCH from Cambria to Carmel before I have to leave.

Evan,

I pull my bike in my dual axle trailer around the country.  My job takes me everywhere it seems.  My next scheduled job is in the Lakewood, Co.  Starting May 11th.  I hope to make it to InZane this year.  I say that every year but this one (like Lacross) seems possible.

Earlier this winter I was in Lake Havasu.  I had a great time riding AZ.

Oss.  The Queen and I rode to the next town to go to the TEXAS Roadhouse.  I just love throwing peanut shells on the floor.  It was a great ride, perfect temperature.  I did notice that not many young people were there eating, its turning out to be an older folks hangout, I guess the younger kids don't eat huge hunks of cow anymore and throw peanuts on the floor, they would rather eat sushi.

But the Steak was great and ride was too

Still no riding for me yet.  Little tweaks to make the trunk work with the OEM rack (back to home depot).  And 40 degree mornings are too cold to ride the chopper with no shield.

Did order many replacement parts and nuts and bolts this winter to keep her nice and pretty and shiny.  Working on her kept me off of the couch for the last few weeks.  She turns 12 this summer and she needed a little time in the beauty shop.  But she's  Looooooooking Gooooooood !!!   Cool

Cajunrider - glad it wasn't tooooo bad.  Daughter sent me pictures of my back yard yesterday and it is a mess.  Can't see the grass from the leaves and small branches down and it looked like we lost our table and umbrella in the back as well as some trees and fence boards in the neighborhood.  Wife said it was BAD.

Of course the yard is a mess and when you look in the background, there is the Nutdog in his wading pool - happy as a lark.  laugh

It was definitely BAD... turned night at 9:00 am.  Luckily for me, the only REAL damage is a single fence post.  Pecan limbs just make for good firewood.

I hope you find your table!  I'm sure the umbrella is a loss.

But... could have been worse... that tree could have ended up on my house.  And all the trees close enough to do that are still standing!!

Now... to get that old chainsaw back up and running for this weekend... that's gonna be fun.  Undecided
