Sorry to disappoint you but the claim is false.
Instead of trying to make a political flogging it would have been nice to see you post "Let's pray for our sailors".

Update - Danish owned vessel it seems, but still not the actions of a nation we should be negoatiating with IMHO. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/irans-military-seizes-us-cargo-ship-10210291.html(And Dave - I don't pray, I prefer real actions, thus I didn't say "Let's pray for our sailors.")

I suggest we fire a couple rounds over their bow, but miss low. Oops, what a tragic mistake.

Are we reading the same article? Quoted from the linked article: the MV Maersk Tigirs, was a Marshal Island-flagged vessel and that Iranian forces had indeed boarded it.
The ship had no U.S. citizens aboard, the spokesman said, contradicting earlier reports which said there were 34 U.S. sailors on board. The company managing the vessel told a Danish news channel there were 24 crew members, mostly from Eastern Europe and Asia.
Not that I'm not sympathetic to the seized cargo ship's crew but, they are not American. The vessel was not even flagged with the stars and stripes. The Iranian's are idiots.

While not a US ship (or citizens), it seems the Iranians thought it was. That is noteworthy.
Wonder what is on board, and what they were/are worried about?
It shipped out of Saudi, and the Iranians don't like them (or what they are doing in Yemen).

One more wanky prat. Crickets once more. You do not know anything about me. For a little bit over five years I supported a wife and two kids as a bouncer in a bar in the foothills of Appalachia. It is a very poor part of the county where the only past time was going to one of the local bars, getting drunk, starting fights and tearing up the places up. I was hired to keep that from happening and doing that for five years I must say I was good at it. (when it was my shift i wore a rawhide necklace of molars and you would be surprised how good of a deterrent that was) You see fit to insult me with the term "wanky" it reminds me of one of the times I was doing my job. There was a very big man that actually had to duck to get in the door came in the bar and started trouble and threatening to tear the bar out of the floor and throw it out in the street. I hit him so hard that his pants fell down and he was not wearing underwear and he crap on the floor and everybody in the bar got to see his little "wanky". He may had to duck to get in but if he was awake he would have been looking up at the top of the door when he left. The picture in my avatar is not a picture of me. I've put that part of my life behind me and at times I do regret it and if you would call me that to my face now I probably would overlook it and you should count your blessings if I did. One thing I did learn is a man with a big mouth never worried me, it was the quiet ones you had to watch. You're not the quiet one.

I took that story NOT as a veiled threat but as a lead up to why we would be hearing about a mans "tiny wanky" You have to admit it was a good story too....... We seem to need some chill pills around here

Didn't sound like a threat to me either. I think he was pretty accurate about not being worried about the loud obnoxious ones.

Paul, Just so you know, its not OK to call someone a "Stupid Idiot" (if I have my British insults correct). You folks can argue your points and disagreements all you want, but leave the personal attacks and insults out of it. Consider it a warning. -Scott

It has as much meaning as the one who reads it bestows upon it. However prat has a couple of meanings. The reader can choose the one most fitting. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=prat

Guys I have never posted on a thread with some heated disagreement going on. Having been on here several years I know we are all much bigger than that. I stumbled across a hard left blog, Crooks & Liars. No opposing thoughts. everything must come from their echo chamber. That is what I love about being a part of this family. Agree or disagree about"stuff " we are bound together by our love for the finest motorcycle ever produced. We certainly will never let any stories true or false about those towel heads cause any friction between us.

... That is what I love about being a part of this family. Agree or disagree about"stuff " ... I agree that the willingness to disagree is a plus. Where that disagreement becomes negative, divisive, and unacceptable is when we assume and imply that anyone who disagrees with us must be stupid and when we cannot express our opinion without attaching demeaning names to those who disagree with us. Respecting human beings as human beings is a good skill to develop. I do know there is a limit but it is not nearly where a lot of us believe it to be.
