There are a few keyboard Hero asshats here that think its fine for them to insult members they have never met face to face. These pussies are mostly non- riding cowards that live their life pounding off behind a keyboard and feel they must comment on every single post, 24 hrs a day they are on the board - it is their whole life. Pathetic internet stalking plonkers that get off insulting members long distance.
Had this discussion with others members recently - it's a big reason to avoid posting here most the time...  crazy2

My mom always told me "if I wouldn't say something to their face, don't hide behind a keyboard".

So I'm staying out of this one.

Thank you for understanding my situation.

Technically, a wanky prat would be a prat that is full of wanks.

Nonetheless, it violates the rules of this board to refer to another member as such.  What I find ironic is that according to some definitions a prat is an ass, specifically a self absorbed ass.   2funny

Could you please tell me how to get one of those? Been trying to take off a few pounds in that region...

I could give you a few email addresses, Karen, but I don't think that will help you.

Oh!  Wait!  You don't want to add one.  You want to change yours out.  That's a difficult operation.

I'm pretty sure typewriters were in use then, big enough to hide behind and sturdy enough to deflect a bullet.

Sheeesh, to think I actually sat and read through every post on this string. Oh well, didn't have anything else to do and needed a good chuckle, and brother....I got quite a few. Some were really laughable, starting with the original post on down.

My wife is a died-in-the-wool democrat, I don't happen to be. I've given her dozens of actual situations where the town/city/state...etc., have been run by the donkey for many years and are in the worst shape possible from a financial and political standpoint. The U.S. is a prime example at the moment. She acknowledges all I show her yet never waivers....but finds it impossible to explain why. We've been married for many years, have never fought, and I take care of her best I can. Will I ever change her mind...not in this lifetime so I don't even try. She will ask about certain things and I provide her with the facts that show her choice in a negative light, and she still never waivers. Foolish? Absolutely! Do I care? Absolutely not! One thing that has stuck in her mind was a comment I made years ago and it applies even more today in our current administration: You can't spend yourself into prosperity!  If so, we'd all be rich.  cooldude

Perfect example, just look at the news of late. Baltimore.

I have to say I have agree w/ John S as I too read though this whole thing.

I'm 50. I got my first 40hr a week job the summer of '78 making $0.75 p/hr as a beach boy, working on the beach 4 miles from my house, riding my bike every day. Before that I shoveled snow, raked leaves and mowed lawns for money when ever possible, when I wasn't too involved w/ being a kid too.

I hated school and all I ever wanted to do was work. At no point of my life did I ever think it was the governments responsibility to take care of me or anyone else in this country. If you wanted something you went out and earned it.

To me the role of the government was to protect the nation with a tremendous military and keep other nations and people from causing us harm and keeping us safe and secure.  I have always believed whole heartedly in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and have tried to live my life and raise my kids in a manner that would be in honor of the founding fathers.

I am a second generation citizen of this country, my grandparents came from Sicily. Unfortunately I did not become a college graduate and a huge success as it was hoped as it is w/ most parents, but I've always maintained my ethic of nobody owes you nothing and it's not the governments job to support you or anyone else. There are plenty of opportunities in The Untied States to achieve a comfortable life but it takes hard work in every step of your life and nobody ever said it would be easy.

I don't believe in a Liberal form of politics, I believe it leads to socialism and we are not a socialistic country.

As my father use to say, "there will always be someone richer than you, smarter than you and more skilled than you, but that better not hold you back from trying your best every day."

Well, I've babbled on enough and I hope my point is in there somewhere.

The way I see it, if it just stays words, it has no issue to me.  Watching TV and on the News, people create dramas and make a big deal out of nothing these days, by what was said, because it is fashionable to b*tch about it. Doing hand gestures and swinging hands looks cool to them, you guys want to talk about a bunch of sheep, watch TV.  The thing that confuses me on the board is, one minute some grandstand about free speech, and then when someone expresses themselves, later another, complain about what was said. Which is it!! Keep the peace, get over it, because we are family.
