Vertical license plates

So the combination of me working on bobbing the Valk and the fact that I lost my plate the other day (side note, just got a call from the Springfield Townshp Police, my tag was turned in), got all my documentation and went to the tag joint and applied for a new tag. I had learned that PA recently, 2013, offered a vertical tag for an extra $20.
My question, other than PA and MN are there any other states that offer a vertical plate for motorcycles.

I saw one of those tags on a bike the other day......yuck.  Looks like a little kids tricycle plate to me for some reason....I think because the lettering is so small in comparison.  That was and is a waste of money and effort IMO.   IF, the purpose was so that LEO could read the plate in a vertical position, I say he have to be right on your ass to see it anyhow.

Vertical tags are not available here in Arkansas and the police can write a ticket if you display them vertically.  Of course, they usually don't on boat trailers and motorcycles.

Didn't even know MN had vertical plates available!  Might have to look into that for one of my projects!

I wasn't aware that Minnesota offered this option, but we get new plates every seven years.  Not sure what the purpose is, they are certainly not more readable than a normal plate mounted upright...

Tn. says they must be mounted horizontal. Wonder what they'd do if your home state had issued you one vert?

If it's printed "vertically" then that surely must be the horizontal?  Reading right side up is surely what they're looking for.

Someone needs to be a test case .........

I know on 4 wheeled vehicles they change out the plates every 7 years, but I have never had any of the bike plates changed out unless I ask for a new one.  Wonder if it is suppose to be the bikes as well?
