I went down yesterday after a car pulled out of a driveway in front of me.
Hospital says Im ok

Thank God

Trying to figure if I should spend the day striping the chrome and stuff off the bike before insurance gets here during week . I think I have $ 4000 in extras coverage but not sure if I kept it up

Either way Im guessing Im better off stripping and selling trim part not original to the bike

I have a nice ultimate seat but I sold the original :-(

That is the biggest reason I bought this jacket almost 8 yrs ago now

Folks dont look or dont see us when turning left or right in front of us

Its not the speed its the sudden deceleration

http://www.bikebone.com/hit-air-testimonials.htm

Just wearing it at a traffic stop got me out of a ticket a few weeks ago

.25 seconds to inflate when tether ripped out and its reusable just put a new c02 in it.

Glad you are ok my friend

Andy . how bad is the bike. After insurance looks at it , maybe a buy back. If not for you , maybe someone will want to resurrect it.  Glad you are OK.

The good news your OK.
Did he look your way, didn't see you and pulled out? So many bad bike accidents happen that way. Yesterday, a bus stoped, it seemed like he saw me coming at 60. Then he pull out in front of me. Luckily hard on both brakes I had room to slow down. Crawled in back of him until I could pass. One of the many times I've had this happen.

For years i've been considering a modulator for the head light. I'm going to do it.

Sorry to hear this Andy. Did the police arrive and write a report? Did the driver of the car stop after the wreck. Hopefully the police report will show the driver to be at fault.

Whatever you do don't take anything off the bike until the insurance companies look at the bike. If it's totaled the extras, seat, chrome etc. will add up to more dollars for you. Not full value but dollars non the less. It will also show how clean and cared for your bike was.

If you need any help or info send me a message.

Sorry to hear that Andy. Do you think the bike beyond repair? Glad you are OK. I have a spare stock standard seat if it helps. Send me a message if I can help out.

crazy...good to hear you are alive to be able to post this. I was very fortunate to walk away from a slide i had yesterday. Swung too wide on a corner i had never ridden before and hit gravel...tried to straighten her up so i could emergency brake, slowed down enough to avoid anything major but still hit curb sideways, scratched the bike up a little at the bottom right side, but just cosmetic. Stood up, lifted my bike and thought to myself "holee keerap!" i was VERY fortunate to come away so lucky from a stupid rookie move. My left knee is a little sore and swollen but really superficial.

shaping up to be a bad bike year.  wrecked mine a couple weeks ago when someone pulled out it front of me.  had enough time to hit the breaks and go for a ride.  fractured wrist and stitches on the pinky.  glad to hear yours wasn't near this bad.  hopefully your bike will be repairable and insurance will take care of ya.
