In the hustle bustle life we all live........working most of the time.....goiong places with the kids and grandkids...... doing routine maintenance on my home.....helping the grandkids with their projects.......going and doing what the wife wants us to do.......every now and then I need a
"ME DAY".     Been about 6 months since all the stars aligned and the wife had to work a day of overtime and the kids and grandkids were out of town and declared yesterday, Sunday, as a "Me Day"

Got on my Valk at 6 am and drove from Tomball, Tx to Sargent Tx to my place on the coast to pick up a camera I left there a few weeks ago.   Decided to run the coast for a while.    Left Sargent and drove to Freeport to Surfside to Galveston on the Blue Water Highway.   Cruised the Sea Wall in Galveston and got on the Bolivar Ferry......don't know why but at 11 am on a sunday the ferry was a straight through drive on.....unusual on a weekend.....no wait.  Drove to High Island and turned north to Winnie and then east to Port Author then to Sabine Pass.   On towards Cameron, La.   Didn't quite make it to Cameron.....turned North from the coast at Holly Beach, La and drove up to I-10 at Hackberry area and hit I-10 at the Suphur La exit.   Turned west and set the odometer at 85-90 and cranked that baby home.   Got home to Tomball about 6pm.   525 miles.....not bad considering all the small towns and 55mph speed limit roads and coastal highway traffic.    Stopped at 9am for breakfast......15 minutes in Sargent at my place......and other than normal fuel stops didn't get off the bike till I got home.   Weather was great...not hot....not wet.   It was a great "Me Day"

You guys and gals ever take a "Me Day"....a day where you set your own schedule...stop where you want.....go where you want.....and answer to no one?
