Long story long-found out had a bad rear wheel bearing. Called my dealer this past Saturday-not in stock "might" have them Thursday or Friday the 5th!  Undecided The "might" sent a chill down my spine-I wanna leave on the 6th.  Lips Sealed I met a guy from Tulsa Ok. a few weeks back with my brother and this guy goes by Theatticrat. I just "happen" to have his # in my phone. So I called him and laid out my sad tale of woe!  Cry He said-Dennis i'll call my dealer ad get back to you. He did and they had the needed bearings in stock!  cooldude He went home and put the bearings in his freezer. I roll out of bed yesterday about 0530 and get dressed and I'm at Micky Ds at 0605 eating. I'm in Tulsa around 11 A M and Bob finds me and we go to his place. After a lot of work and a few garage tales old out new in and some coin of the realm changes hands we clean up and go t lunch. Chuy's in Tulsa at 10808E 71st street is a cursed good Mexican restaurant. Debbie-Bobs wife is a very gracious lady and she and the Chiuhuahuas-sp?-welcomed me into their home. Saw 2 bikes of his and the one with the complete 2 Brothers exhaust system and Bobs performance work-SWEET-do NOT begin to describe this one of a few Valkyries Bob owns. He also explained WHAT he does to the heads and pistons along with the WHY. I could not believe how cobby the area above the valve seat on a stock head is. The machine work he has done makes all the difference in performance and as an added bonus-better fuel mileage. How often does performance come with BETTER fuel mileage??? Again-BIG LARGE HUGE shout out to a BRO who helped another bro-ME-save his rip to I-15.  cooldude Yet again another reason this board rocks!  coolsmiley Bob my friend-Thanks Again and the next time I'm in Tulsa lunch will be on me again.  Smiley If yuse guys missed it there IS a shameless plug for Bobs performance work!  Roll Eyes RIDE SAFE.

Is "cobby" a local term?  Please explain.

Cobby=rough. I am NOT an expert but this falls in with porting and polishing and cleaning up factory production work. As I understand it cleaning up after the production work enhances fuel flow by smoothing the surfaces the fuel air mixture flows over. Again-cobby=rough.  2funny Hope my poor explanation helps.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Yeah Russ he did! The frame on his latest project was part of the reason I met Bob-THAT frame came from my brother-da prez. And the forks and some smaller items. His shop is a reflection of the man. He had a long bolt and a selection of washers to PRESS in my new bearings as opposed to beating them senseless with a hammer and a board! Ross already posted about he set of carbs he got and what they did for his bike. Bob got me with a slight of hand. After we got the old bearings out he handed me a bearing and it fell into the hole!  Undecided I wuz like-oh crap!  Lips Sealed He had handed me one he shaved down to press in the new bearing.  2funny Couple old gear heads having at each other.  Wink Left here yesterday at 0630 and got back around 2030-2045. 491 miles in my cage at 30 M P G. Bob is a guy you can definitely hang out with!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Tom-the people that I've met due to the M/Cs we ride have never ceased to amaze me. NOT only brothers and sisters of the wind but I've had more help here than I can ever hope to repay. And the few Inzanes I've attended reinforce what we already know-good people populate our board!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Dennis and Russ thanks for the kind words. You all enjoy yourself at Inzane and think of me a little when you are there.
