I don't think the transformation is complete.....  Looking at the cover photo his/her package appears to be causing a bulge in the briefs....and I bet, in addition to all the makeup, extensive photoshop skills were used for the photo.   Regardless what others might think.....he is still a he.  IMO, if you Sre born a male, father children (not give birth and mother them)......no amount of surgery, makeup or photoshop will change the fact he was and remains a man......just dressed differently.

I agree, enough is too much......but folks would rather discuss this than ....well, important real life issues that matter.

Incredibly a gross waste of a life and time, but at least LGT community will have a new spokes person for their cause. Here's how to avoid that situation:  Women don't have adams apples.

As far as the topic in general, I can't imagine anything that I care less about.  The sexuality/gender identification of others does not bother me or interest me.  As long as someone is a consenting adult, then they can do what they want with their bodies.  Personally, what I find more disturbing is piercing.  A lot of the body piercing folks look like they were in a jewelry store when a bomb went off.  And the guys with the giant grommets in their ears?  Hell, I don't get that at all.  But again, their body, their choice.

This whole thing is the perfect spectrum to view what I feel is the root cause of many of the divisions in today's society: Those who base decisions on facts vs. those who base decisions on feelings.

I'm sure its fun to posture and denigrate others and their seemingly incomprehensible choices from afar, but its also mean spirited.

I have a close friend who's been a motorcycling buddy for quite a few years. He has a family, works in construction, builds choppers and can fix anything with an engine. He has recently told me that he is transitioning into being a woman. Takes the hormones, has done the psych testing, and of course is dressing as a woman.

I don't understand it, and probably never will, but the guy is a good friend. I'm not about to cut him off just because I don't understand why he is following this path. To do so would be cruel and unfair.

All I know is that people should be free to do whatever makes them happy (provided it doesn't hurt others). To stand in the way of that right because we don't understand, does not make the world a better place.

I'm sure you are thinking "but he is hurting others. What about his family?". This is true there is undoubtedly some damage there, but they have accepted his choice and time will do its thing. People get divorced everyday, doing all sorts of damage to their families yet we don't generally oppose the idea of divorce, we accept it. So at its core why is this any different?

At the end of the day, I will support my friend through thick and thin. I'm sure he will need it as he travels his difficult path.

I still remember in early years of high school a group of bullies were beating the piss out of what we all thought was a gay guy in freshman year of high school.  He was a weird fellow for sure definitely a few bricks short of a load but he never did anything to deserve a beating, but I had enough when they all ganged up on him and beat the living heck out of him being totally defenseless laying on the concrete in a crumpled up ball crying.  After several bruises and bleeding barely able to move,  I tossed all of the bullies away and told them the next one who hits or kicks him will have to answer to me.  They backed off and they had NO reason to be hitting him since he did nothing wrong, he is what he is. He cannot help it.  They didn't retaliate towards me or call me queer lover or anything for the 4-5 of them mostly in my own class knew they all would be in a pretty bad fight.  My experience,  but if you stand up to even 3-4 bullies and mean it,  they will back down 90% of the time since most are all talk, no action. 

My daughter now a senior in high school has a now graduated senior gay guy as her best bud/friend one year older living a few blocks away.  Nicest kid you ever met, an eagle scout, and has done good things for the community as a whole.  I was still shocked though he went so far as to invite to his homecoming dance this past year another gay guy he has been dating from a nearby high school going together and even dancing, etc.  NO one laughed or picked on him but respected him for what he is, being openly gay.   This surely shows how the times have changed vs. say 20-30 years ago when we were going to school.

Your friend has every right to do whatever he wants to himself.  I think he needs his head examined, but that's JMHO. 

However, I really don't care what your friend does...AND..I really don't care what Bruce Jenner does either.  The point is.....STOP SHOVING IT DOWN MY THROAT. 

I don't want to see it on virtually every news channel non-stop, day in and day out.  I don't want my grandchild exposed to it....and in today's world, it's on the front cover of magazines at the grocery store and has had non-stop news exposure for several days now on virtually every news (and non-news) outlet there is. 

It's NOT normal.  It IS abnormal behavior and it's getting virtually impossible to protect your children and grandchildren from such abnormal behavior.

What he does to himself is non of my business....but when it's plastered all over the entire world and as something to celebrate....then that's a line that's been crossed.
