I have a set of Honda saddlebag rails that are in very nice shape. I know a few years back they were bringing some big money but with the aftermarket ones on eBay what are the Honda braid worth??

John, Yes, You are correct on the value of the rails in yesterdayland. I have the experience of owning both types of bag guard rails. In doing so, I have had the opportunity to assess and grade them comparatively and find that they both appeal visually and function appropriately and conclude there is little difference. The aftermarkets are slightly smaller in diameter but still support the bike in a slow speed drop and the chrome appears to be holding on and in good shape but to be fair, my bikes live inside in low humidity climate control. Fitment is a bit of a struggle with aftermarkets but to be fair again, I'm taxing the system with trailer hitches and the sort so it was difficult with Honda's rails also. I'm saying this so that you can realize that more than a few owners have realized the same thing that I did. NOT MUCH DIFFERENCE IN THE RAILS. However, there are some purists out there that may differ with me and may be willing to pay exorbitant coin and that is good for you. I happened to luck up on Ebay and found the auction ending on a set of aftermarkets new in box and submitted the only bid at the last minute for $100 and won the rails, I guess, from no one paying attention or something. I say, put your price on them and see how it plays. You can always come down but.........
