Heard a rumor about possibly West Virginia, but it is just that.

Yes West Virginia would be awesome. Hard to find a paved road that isn't fun to ride. Loved every trip I've taken there.  Smiley

There won't be any word until the forum owners decide to let us know.

Hopefully, they'll let us know as early as possible for those who need to schedule vacation in January to guarantee they can be off.     West Virginia would be great but, I'm going to do my best to be there where ever it is.    Missed last years due to a vehicle/blown tire that tore up my truck causing substantial damage $$$$.    Missed this year's due to health issues.    I damn well will be at next years, come hell or high water.   cooldude   I hope.   Undecided

I couldn't make Spearfish this year, but sure would hope for something a bit more centrally located...

We are NOT close to making the decision; but, yes, WV is on the short list.  As always, it will depend on hotel availability, function space, and their willingness to negotiate.

We was going to use Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort for one of our Hillbilly Highway rides they wanted me to sign a contract for the needed rooms ( I'm not signing no contract ) . Snowshoe is a awesome area and the resort is beautiful and doesn't get near the customers in the summer as it does in the winter.

Joe, there are many other places in WV that can accomadate a large group that also will not cost you an arm and a leg as Snowshoe would.
WV has some great roads and as many know the scenery is off the hook, we call this our playground  Grin

Hmmmm, someone better look into WV. It has way too  many monsters like the Grass Man, Chupahcobra, Hell Cat and Big foot just to name a few. Scary place that WV. Y'all need to watch Mountain Monsters on the History Channel to see what I'm talking about. We may have a few hundred go in, but only a few will come out!     Cheesy      Roll Eyes     2funny

Beautiful country in WVA.  Not done that much riding there (the WVA Turnpike ain't the most fun) but have visited there in the past in both summer and winter.  Great outdoor dramas in the summer evenings in the State Park near Charleston - at least there used to be.  Do they still bungee off the big bridge?

Snowshoe is lovely, and Biker Girl and I enjoyed skiing there in our younger day.  Coldest weather (real temp and wind chill) we've EVER experienced was at Shoeshoe.  -40 degrees F and colder.  Vehicles were being taken down the mountain on the back of flatbed trucks and placed in heated barns down below so they would start.  One skiing run down the mountain and you HAD to go inside to avoid frostbite after the chair lift ride back up...

Summer would HAVE to be better!  It's a long one day ride, but we'd love to visit there again.  Many upgrades since our last visit...

Chances are, pricewise, this is not a spot for Inzane Cry  but I'd LOVE to be proven wrong!

OK, enough on that from me.  Know the staff will select the perfect spot, wherever...

As Ice implied, Snowshoe is a bit pricey. Also they have you stuck on the mountain with nowhere to eat except there, again high priced.  IMHO the town of Elkins WV has a few motels that should be able to accommodate us, along with a larger selection of restaurants.
Chime in here Eric, you know the area as well or better than I do.

The Chief Logan Lodge near Logan ,WV is awesome and  near restaurants. It's in the heart of the Hatfield and McCoy trails.

I would love to see Inzane XVI in WV.

I grew up there and lived most of my life there and Still have family there.  If WV is the game, and the VRCC staff wishes, I might be able to be of some help to them.

However, I am sure the staff will make Inzane XVI great wherever it ends up being.
