I have had that on my iPad when accessing some hotspots, but works fine at home.

put "authentication error receiving android" into google and you'll see people talking about it.

The first hit I got was "error with hotmail "authentication error receiving"

This is the suggestion that helped that person:

Have you also tried wiping data in settings/apps/manage apps/all and then select the app and clear data??

I had something similar and it went away on its own after a few days.
