Glad you're OK.  Should have listened to the voice that says roll by deer at a creeping roll while holding the horn down and covering the brakes.

Glad to hear your ok Dan. I saw that one of our members hit a dear on the way out of InZane on friday in Spearfish canyon. Be careful out there and I'm sure you will be back on the road soon. It was great talking to you at lunch at Applebees while at InZane.

Ride safe my friend.

I'm sorry that happened to you but glad you came out largely uninjured.

And a further reminder about deer. If you see ONE crossing in front of you and it seems to be safely out of the way, SLOW TO A CRAWL anyway, as 90 percent of the time, a second or third beast will scoot across your path even faster....as they attempt to follow the FIRST. I've learned this from several close, too close and actual close up encounters.

Glad both of you are OK.  Wiggy, I read about your deer but was on an Ipad - it would take me 2 hours to type this sentence on it.  I had wanted to say how glad you made it out OK.  Good job to both of you keeping it upright after impact.  Main thing is that you are OK.  (WHEW).  Forrest rats scare the crap out of me - we must have had 6 or 8 go across in front of us in Wyoming by Devils Tower and down Spearfish Canyon.  I think we had 3 or 4 go across in front of us in Spearfish Canyon in like one mile.

I hit a deer last fall while in my truck, $6k damage to the front end and the darn thing was walking away when I stopped and looked back. And the truck was covered with pooo, why do they always do that.

Glad you're ok and safe travels after you get her back on the road.

I agree, or creep by. If there is one there are usually more to follow. I love to ride t his time of year but the corn is starting to come up. Corn fields make me more aware than any other time I ride.

I'm guessing you will still be able to see all of the remaining deer crap at INZANE 16 next year.   2funny

I think it would take more then a little doe to take DD out.

He rides long and far.  T.P.

Good to talk with you at IZ Dan.  That's a pretty cool idea you had with that leather jacket.  Sewing in extra zippers so you can adjust the girth for different levels of "layered" clothing.

Hope the bike comes out in good shape.

Glad you are all okay.

There was a guy from Yreka, CA that had his bike totaled in Idaho on his way to Inzane. Hit and run. He was all bruised up and fortunate that he was not seriously injured.
