Going north from Hot Springs, Arkansas yesterday on Hwy 7.  Great road.  Riding pretty hard into a right hand turn and encountered a bit of a dip/bump about 1/3 into the turn.  I've known I need new shocks for a long time, but this definitely was enough of an event to scare me.  The result of encountering a good bump while riding hard into a corner with those shocks could be ugly.  Instead of cornering like it's on rails you're suddenly bouncing and losing most of your stability.  Yep it's past time...  Color me fortunate.

My rear shocks were toast two years ago at about 80k miles, they could no longer be adjusted.  Replaced them with Progressive 416 air shocks...
