Has anyone rode Brockway Mountain Drive in Michigan's UP in the last couple of years?
I rode it a few years ago and it was real messed up, lots of payment blowups and pour condition on the blacktop.  Planning on taking some friends to Copper Harbor and Lake in the Clouds.
Would like to do Brockway Mountain if the road has been fixed.
Thanks, Marty

Brockway Mountain Drive has been messed up for years. I first rode BMD back in 1985 and it isucked back then. Then the week after IZ IV, I took my daughter to Copper Harbor and BMD and it was at least as bad.

Remember, in MI we have had a brutal winter and a lack of funding for roads as well as the parks. Although I haven't been there in a while (and wanted to go last year), we passed on it due to reports of bad pavement. But I suggest that you call the Houghton/Hancock chamber of commerce to find out if it has been repaired yet.

But that being said,.....the view from the top is spectacular!

Some of The Rogues were up there a couple weeks ago and said it's still a mess.

If you're going to the U.P., one road you must do is H58.
It follows the "Pictured Rocks National Shoreline" from Grand Marais to Munising.
If not it should be on your bucket list.

Route 2 from St. Iggy to Escanaba is also nice this time of year too.
Coming from the south to the U.P., M22 is a nice way to meander north.
And if you have the time,....'Pierce Stocking Drive' on the "left coast' is another 'must do' ride.

I was up there 2 weeks ago and they were actually working on it. you might consider waiting until fall or next year.
