Pretty cool stuff, it's incredible how well preserved some of them are after all those years. I know in Normandy, France there is a museum devoted purely to things that they have found in the English Channel from D-Day.

I had an old friend that passed away 40 years ago, he was on a freighter that was evacuating troops from one of the islands in the Pacific. His ship was loaded with machinery, jeeps and trucks. He said they went a couple miles off shore and shoved every thing on the deck and all in the holds over the side. Then went back to the dock and loaded up with troops headed for home. He said every ship in the harbor was doing the same thing.   At that time the troops were more important.

As a former SCUBA diver I would have really enjoyed exploring some of those wrecks.  Thanks for the post.  Very cool.
