Saw this 1975 Goldwing for sale on one of the sites I follow.  Really nice looking GL1000 in Orange.  Guy says it is 90% restored.  I do not know the guy or anything else about the bike.

Here is the write up in the ad:

Seeing if there is any interest in my 1975 GoldWing.
Bike is about 90% finished with all the hard stuff done. I have a long list of items that have been replaced or repaired.
Have many--many extra parts, including a full set of panels and all stock parts. Seat, blinkers, original tail light etc.
Also have a parts bike that has many useable parts left.
Paint is late Challenger orange with some gold fleck, looks really good in the sun.
Asking 2800.00 ??
I have done several different old bikes in the past, and they take a lot of time and money to complete.
I think I have lost interest in completing this one.
If you have any questions about the work and parts that were done please give me a call. There is to much to list here.
Thanks, Mike

Although it seems he's done some nice work. A cafe build is NOT a restoration.

Not a "restoration" as was mentioned... but it is a very nicely done rebuild (especially if you're into cafe's).

Seems to be a good price also.  (If everything runs and works correctly.)

If I was in the market, I'd have to go take a look.

We have a guy in our area that is retired and runs a Santa business.  He rebuilt one of these and connected a side car to it and calls it his backup sleigh.  Looks awesome in red.  Takes it in Christmas parades and other events.  Really nice bike.  I'm not a mechanical guy or I'd be interested in this one.  I really like it in Orange.  Would not help me with my wife who is pushing me to reduce my number of bikes not increase them.

I'm kinda partial to the old 4-cylinder 'wings.  I have had three.  Traded an unwanted Colt for my current '78.  It needed some help.  Although I got it from the 2nd owner, the kid was "bobbing" it and was in over his head.  Luckily, I got it before he did any real damage - with all the original bits.  I sold off the pristine bits and did a quicky <gulp> cafe job on it.  (Hey, big girls need love, too).

That old '75 looks good to my eye.  The GL1000's are a blast to ride when sorted out.

Mine is:

I rode one in '75.  IIRC they were yellow with a black stripe for the first edition.
