The original store (location) is now the training store. I love their cold subs. Their hots subs are hit and miss, but their bread is always fresh and delicious. Roast beef is one of my favorites but the #13 original Italian sub w/ everything and oil and vinegar is always a go to snack...or lunch or dinner. |

OK group, I need to post this;
to day my wife received some bad news regarding her uncle, he was in the hospital for a serious bleed in his intestines and the doctors determined that because of his age, general over all health and dementia the problem is inoperable. He was sent home under the care of hospice and given a 2 week time frame.
as of now I am still going on this ride, but I told her if he passes near the time I'm suppose to leave, it will be up to her if I go to the services or continue with our plans for the ride.
For this man I will do whatever my wife decides she wants me to do, if you knew her uncle you'd understand. a few of the words that come to mind to describe him are; gentle, kind, sweet, quiet, loving, generous, funny and caring. Right now it breaks my heart knowing he is suffering and probably will suffer to the end. A person like him is rare to find and I've been lucky he was in my wife's family and Barbara loves him dearly.
So, for now, I guess you have to consider me a definite maybe to be in attendance for the ride.

Bighead, thanks for putting that out there. Barb and I understand the situation well and family always comes first. Unfortunately this isn't the first time we've been through "a time limit" and know it can drag out, sometimes for the best, most times for the worst.
Barbara knows I've been looking forward to meeting you all for some time now as well as riding someplace other than NJ and places for a days ride.
We plan on playing this by ear for now, leaving things until we know for certain. Barb still hasn't spoken to her cousin yet on her uncle's condition, but with the news we got today, we know it's not a good situation.
To everyone else that may want to post about this, thank you in advance for your concerns, but let's not fill up this thread with posts of that nature, I appreciate the kind thoughts and any prayers you can spare.

Hardee's at the Clinton / Norris exit .... 8:00 for breakfast Saturday morning 9-5-15 we have around a 330- 350 mile give or take ride to Sparta, North Carolina for " Meet In The Middle " . |

For those staying at the Days Inn in Waynesboro, VA on Friday night:
"Ginger" and I won't be arriving until around dark (we both have to work on Fri).
So we'll see you guys but it will be later 8:00 PM or so.
If anyone is interested in a late supper, our plan is to hit a good wing joint that is down the street from the hotel after we check into the hotel.
If anyone wants to join us you're welcome to.
