How do I prevent someone steal my product at Inzane. Every year at Inzane I notice some were missing and I was not sure if it was sold or not as my wife sell them for me while I work on bikes. It's hard for her to remember everything I have in products. This year I decided to add inventory in my apps. Wow it was awesome. Now I know for sure there's thief at Inzane.

Guess what was stolen this year?
Two quad horns, two fork seal set, three fuel tank plug kit and few small items... Jeez...

I guess it's time for me to put up cage or plastic window with lock from now on... It's going to take up more time and money to built one to do that but gotta protect my products from stealing em...

Whoever stolen from me, Thank you! tickedoff tickedoff tickedoff

Bill, you are certainly one of the most well respected and knowledgeable people  on this board and we are all blessed to have you among us, this is very disheartening to hear that somebody would steal from you.

Really sorry to read this, unfortunately there is no ethics test required before purchasing a Valkyrie. I've met some really fine people here. Very satisfied customer here, would have been worth twice the price to see the inspection guy jump when he had me blow the Quad Horns. Maybe you could set up video surveillance next year...

I am very sorry to read this.  Embarrassed

Just put up a big poster listing the parts you have for sale (maybe with pictures), and leave the parts in the trailer.

Very disheartening to hear.

Bill I purchased one of your quad horns at Inzane and couldn't be happier with it.  The horn already paid for itself by doing its job on a lady who was drifting into my lane.  I was surprised to hear anyone on the VRCC could sink to such a low, and from your missing inventory it sounds like maybe more than one may have been involved.  If the person or persons are caught, I think tarring and feathering them and their bike and public flogging would be appropriate.  Not to mention banned from all VRCC events.  Or maybe a sock party.

I'm sorry to hear this.  Given the short list of vendors, we should not burn the ones we have. Thank you for your continued support of the VRCC and coming to the event each year.

When we take these long trips, it's nice to know you have someone dependable if you have a problem.

Extremely disappointing to read this.   I didn't make it to Spearfish but, would be happy to stand guard at the next one if you don't come up with a way to secure your stuff.    I'm serious.    You've pulled my butt out of the fire twice now when my fat lady needed attention and did it very reasonably.   Feel like I owe you.    Would you prefer open carry or concealed?

BigBF you are a class act.  Very helpful to me a couple times, dropped what you were doing to provide right-sized hardware to help me out when I had a problem with my battery bolt and again with my new leather gas cap cover - and w/o those being items you sold.  I believe when you help folks even w/o quid pro quo pay it comes out in the wash - ying-yang, goes around comes around; karma and all that.  Then that paradigm runs afoul of some jerk.  Hope you get it back and your faith is restored.  Hang in there, it's still worth the karma you have embraced.  The jerk(s) will get his in the long run.  Karma again.

I really hope whoever stole something from you is reading this:

BigBF is an individual who gives. He gives his knowledge freely and helps whoever, whenever!
He works hard, from morning through the night to help those who attend have a nice care-free event and rides.
He makes a living working hard so that we can go out and play. This is his livelihood. His source of income.
Whoever took these items obviously had the money to travel, pay the fees to attend, and money for  daily expenses during.
Why are you such a low life that you could not step up to the plate and pay the man instead of sneaking off like a damn snake with stolen items?
May the good Lord help you if we ever find out your identity because none of us will....ever again.

Sock party?  Hmmm, haven't been to one of those since boot camp, sure cured some internal problems though.

Bill, it's tough to see someone be taken like that and it's mighty low. Frankly, I hope we never discover who it was. I hate seeing someone's health deteriorate that fast.  Wink

What was the total value of the taken items?

I'm sure whoever took them was really in need of them, so maybe we could all pitch in a few bucks to reimburse you for the taken items that someone evidently needed so very badly?

(Snark on the "They must have needed them" bit, totally serious on the "Let's all pitch in a few bucks to cover the loss.)

Just a thought... Valkyrie specific vendors are so very rare and precious these days, I'd hate to see us lose one of the few we have left out of frustration...

I guess I am wrong but I feel that if a person is smart enough to buy a Valkyrie then they should be smart enough to 1) not steal 2) not steal from a fellow biker 3) not steal from a fellow Valkyrie owner 4) not steal from a vendor that is supplying Valkyrie parts 5) realize the raminifications to the vendor because of loss 6) realize the massive beating you would receive if caught. (Lots of real fellow Valk people there)  Just follow point #1 d4mm1t! If you are reading this and are that person simply send a money order with a sorry note.  Man up!

I can believe it. Sorry to hear it. But I have had stuff stolen at the police station so it does not surprise me. If you do catch the person it would nice to see them leave insane in silver bracelets hell I will lend you mine. The embarrassment would be enough to have them never come back and leave the club . Even though I'm sure they would be kicked from the club anyway.   police

BF,

I'm sorry and surprised that we have thieves among us. It is worse when a person who does so much to help others is the victim.

On the brighter side, last week I was stopped at a RR crossing with the arms down but there was only a switch engine going very slowly through the crossing.

The train guy, of course was blowing his horn. You would have loved the look on his face when I answered with your quad horn. We went on to exchange a few blasts & I honestly don't know who was louder.

Thanks for working on my Valk at InZane.

Bill is a commercial vendor.  Commercial vendors, including BigBF, include in their fees enough to compensate for possible losses due to small time theft or breakage.

If you really want to help Bill out, your best move is to go to his website and buy something that you or a friend might need.

Hey VRCC friends. Big BF, a guy who spends all his time helping us Valk owners out with our mechanical problems, got ripped off at INZANE. He had suspected for some time that it had been happening at other INZANE events, but until he decided to keep a formal inventory did he find out that it was really happening. He posted this recently on the VRCC facebook page. All who read it were pretty infuriated. Some asked if they could contribute for his loss. He set up a donation account due to the requests. I don't understand how anyone could take advantage of someone like Bill and his wife. Pretty much the example of the lowest form of humanity. Worst of all, it's one of us. That's the part that is really dissappointing. Anyway, if you'd like to provide a little support, you can give Bill a contribution at:
http://www.bigbf.com/inzane/

BTW, it will not work on an ipad. Has to be done on a computer.

Nogrey, I agree with you in every respect except, "he is one of us". Anybody that would do that truly isn't one of us. He may be a member, he may go to Inzane, he may even ride Valkyries. But I wouldn't say he's one of us. He is a scum. I don't understand the psychology of stealing from someone but I do know he is someone I wish to have NO association with. I actually think Willow had the best idea to help remedy the situation. Purchase products or services from our member in GREAT standing BigBF.  cooldude
