Nope not the kind Daniel did, but shingle virus. Yup started three weeks ago on left side neck and head. So far it has been miserable. I cannot not even explain the pain, but sleep has been very little as head is in to much pain and nothing can touch it. Any of you ever have ?  I feel sorry for you as this is nasty. So no more ridling bike, as wind and sun are painful.  I want to pass this along as I never knew this, if you had chicken pox this is sitting dormant inside you in a nerve it may nerve come out but if it does there is no cure. But their is a vaccination you can get over fifty to help minimize effects and time

Know where you are coming from. Even water from a shower hurts like Hell.
I had it in the exact same area. Worst was on my eyelid and in my eyebrow. up in my hair as well. Got so bad the left eye was swollen shut and apparently could have lost that eye (had that part treated at an eye doctor) but did not. Lasted around a month.

Got the vaccination 2 years ago after a friend went through a shingles attack.  Will send prayers up for you.

I got that T shirt, and it was a big surprise.... I've got WHAT?????

At least I did not have it on the head.... which can go into an eye.

Mine was not as bad as some, but I do remember just my soft shirt barely touching it felt like electric shocks.

Shingles is such a benign name for it, but I suppose calling it the painful cocks..ker was out of the question.

Follow Dr's orders and get well.

Shingles and kidney stones............ would make a dandy enhanced interrogation technique.  Please don't give me those; lets just go back to waterboarding.

I am not suggesting to anyone, to not get the shingle shot. But I got a flu shot and since I was there I got the shingle shot. Bad choice for me, first the health care didn't cover the shot, not cheap. Most important, I guess it was a reaction to the shingle shot, I started getting zits, which rarely had when I was a teenager. Kept getting them for about a year, now it kind of slacked off. I have had flu shot and never had a reaction from them. Just my experience!

I got the shot about 18 months ago. Keep in mind it only reduces the possibility of getting Shingles by about 50%, but for me....I'll take those odds. I remember the Chicken Pox when I was a little kid. Happened in the early 40's and we had a quarantine sign on the front door warning people to stay away, and I couldn't go outside either. Same thing when I got the measles, was kept in a dark room for a long time, couldn't go outside, quarantine sign then also.

Good friend from church got it a few years ago one side of his head and his eye he was more than miserable, so i'll be praying for you.  I got the shot a few years ago because the wife got shingles, twice in fact.
Good luck.

I had shingles when I was going for radiation treatments for lymphoma. Went to a dermatologist and he gave me what he called massive doses of a anti virulent drug. It lessened the outbreak and I survived, barely

I was lucky.  It was in a spot that  didn't show....it was on my right groin around to my right hip.  Hurt like hell...and made wearing pants a real bitch.

I got shingles about two years ago.  The right side of my face and forehead.  As soon as it was diagnosed, they gave me a shot of some kind, I don't know what, which kept the pain tolerable.  I made regular visits to the eye doctor who kept checking my eyes for damage.  Lucky, no damage.

Since then I've gotten the shingles vaccine with no side effects from it.

Why you gotta bring up Kidney Stones? I was just getting over the episode I had a few weeks back. I don't want them again and its the second time. I'd only wish them on a couple of people I know.

Speaking of Kidney Stones!!  This was just on the news yesterday, check it out it can't hurt.

I have a cup of warm water and a half lemon every morning before I eat or drink anything, also I drink filtered water, no chlorine or fluoride. Basically the same as above, I have no issues. (My sink is still hanging on the wall)

Got it in 1991 when I was 36 years old.  I got the vaccine a few years back when it first came out ( hope that helps lessen a second out break)  Once you have had it you never want to have it again.

I had shingles when I was a kid... Got the chicken pox and after getting over that about 3 weeks later I got shingles... I still remember the pain.... From what I understand I have around a 4% chance of getting it again.
