I did something like that last fall, of course it wasn't intentional and I killed a couple of animals (Opossum and dog) in the process of scaring the hell out of my self. I'll gladly leave that to the professionals. I've managed to live and ride this long and have kind of gotten used to having all my limbs.

If it's fake, it's well done. The physics don't make sense, though. I'd like to see the same thing in actual race footage, not just a short clip like that.

Sorry but, I have to disagree, having done something very similar (unintentionally of course) it is possible. Of course, in my case, it took an opossum to get me airborne but what the heck, it did happen and, on a curve. If I was a bit more computer savvy I'd go back and find the thread I posted about it in. BTW, the wife threw away that undergarment I was wearing that evening, I'll let you figure out why.

Yep doctored, it's impossible for both motorcycle wheels to leave the pavement at the same time. He must be some kind of god.

So what made the bike continue to turn once in the air ? The only thing I can think of would be the airflow across the turned wheel. But that doesn't seem logical to me.

Aerodynamics is the only thing that could continue a turn once contact with the ground was lost. It appears to me that he is coming out of a turn and when he launches, he is still leaning into that turn which makes him appear to be continuing to turn a corner but, he is in fact going in a straight line. The angle of the video makes it appear like it's a curve but, I'll bet that he's actually in a straighter section of the track. I say this because he doesn't appear to drift outward of the supposed curve. I do know that when I went airborne in a curve as previously mentioned, where I landed was definitely closer to the outside stripe. As I said before, it scared the pudd'n out of me.

Watch closely and you'll see that both wheels don't leave the ground at the same time. The front wheel leads by a split second.

Watching that video, it appears that the track was made with rises that are in effect jumps. I'm sure super bike riders would like to keep at least the rear tire on the pavement. One looses nearly all control in the air. But I have seen races over at Elkhart Lake WI where some such bikes get air born.
