My Dad rode one of those in the early days of WWII.   Later, he was a tank Commander under Patton.    He once told me that even though he and his crew had the turrent blown off in the Battle for the Bulge, and went through two other tanks due to battle damage, he felt safer in that tank than he did on his scooter/HD.    He said it wasn't reliable and always seemed to break down in the worst possible situations.

It would be interesting to have one to display but, I wouldn't want to have to depend on it to get me somewhere I needed to be.
