The local animal control busted an illegal puppy mill in my neighborhood, up the road from my house.  I inquired what would happen to the pups and the brood female that they seized, along with the several litters she had birthed.  The officer said most of the pups would be adopted easily, but most brood females were hard to adopt out because of the cost for shots and spaying required by law. They were usually humanly put down after a certain amount of time.  The missus said to put her in the car, and give me your wallet, we are heading to the vet.  Soooo, meet My-yah, the  latest of the family dogs.  She is a sweet heart. She loves people, specially my spouse. Hoser     Shocked

My utmost respect to you and the Mrs. Hoser. Those brood females lead horrible lives. To give her a good home is a noble thing.

Thats good ! Ya done did a good thing.
I was kind of a dog snob and wouldn't have considered doing that in the past. But, time and thoughts change. I now applaud anyone rescuing a dog.

good for you.

Too bad you cannot take the 2 pitbulls that caused the death of this little cute dog in a nearby town by me.  http://www.channel3000.com/news/dog-killed-by-2-pit-bulls-in-monroe-police-say/34760446

I think since 2nd time, at least,  they should get the 2 pitbulls to a better home and lock up the owner who allowed it to happen since is a repeat offender.

If this happened to my dog while walking it,  I surely wish I had a baseball bat with me since I would have taken it to the pit bulls first and for sure the owner as well who deserved it more.
