Good question, Gavin. Aeromach and Add On were the two brands that used to make them. I'm thinking if either is still available, it will be the Add On or Addon brand. They were the cheaper of the two and the ones I put on both Interstates. I would have done the most recent one after 2010.

I see in 2009, Aeromach did make another run of the stacks after they were lobbied by enough Valk owners--kind of like Rivco did recently with the center stands.
What I'm not sure of is if there is enough interest for Aeromach to break out the presses again. Aeromachs version were pretty pricey..

Good Luck.

Got mine off Ebay. Not the Aeromach brand but I'm happy with them. Only gripe is the expanded aluminum screens have started to show some galvanic corrosion. Pulled them off and cleaned them real good. I think my next step is to order some expanded stainless to replace the aluminum. But for right now, clean them and treat them with Naval Jelly.

The aeromach website says their taking orders for them now. I'd post the link but I'm posting this frm my iPod and have no idea how to copy and paste on it. Aeromach MFG website says their getting ready to do a limited production run and are taking orders now. Check out their site.

Mine never came with any screens, Xtracho. Maybe the Ebay seller threw those in. I made my own screens from a roll of plastic gutter guard that I spray painted gold. It looked really cool and there were no worries about the plastic rusting.  Wink

If you don't want the high $$ ones you can go for the breather filters from auto zone.

I know most here love those things and they are great for impressing folks that don't know better, but really, they're just rampant festoonery.  They're fake and serve no purpose beyond decoration.  If they were functional, I'd run them.  I'll bet the big 6 would sound awesome breathing through real velocity stacks, although A/f ratio would go into the toilet and real stacks provide little to no filtration.

Meh.

I tell folks up front that they are aesthetic or for appearance only and they are still impressed. Whatever floats yer inner tube I suppose.

I don't want them either, but I have about every other piece of chrome festoonery available.

This is true, just like any of the other chrome goodies we put on.

A lot of the stuff people bolt on are chromed/embellished versions of a necessary or useful part (for instance, I have a studded seat - the seat is a necessary part, the studs are an embellishment).  Not so here.

This is true. It's more stuff to keep clean. But I still like them. It's kind of like a dragon. When he's just sitting there relaxing, he's pretty impressive. When he puffs up, unfolds his wings, and breathes fire he gets your attention. I guess it does kind of make me an attention whore  2funny

lol... if everything we put on our bikes had to be functional they would never look as good and be boring in my opinion.

I put on velocity stacks 3 weeks ago and drilled a little hole at the base of each one then wired little tiny red strobed LED's in each one with a switch.
When I turn them on it looks like there is a fire in each cylinder. I will post some pics when I am not at work.

Mines got the little air filters.  I'm with others that posted about the desire to attach baubles that have no function.  I may take them off--just attached with d/s tape.

I made my own stacks. I had a lathe and got some Alum. and machined a set in around six hours for nothing. Once polished they looked like chrome. All that's needed was to attach them to the chrome caps was a circle of silicone to the bottom and stick them on, easy to take off too.

I musta had a dozen + folks at Sturgis/etc come up and ask me how those work when it rains. I whisper there fake and they get all wide eyed and laugh.
