The Bosses

Florida's Emerald Coast

« on: August 27, 2015, 05:55:57 AM »

Never ceases to amaze me. Rode over to Louisiana for crew change aboard my vessel. Made 4 stops for gas and eats. This time I counted....6 separate compliments on the bike. Not counting the Harley guy in Panama City Beach that said something while I was gassing up. And their eyes light up when I tell them the Gurl is 17 years old. Most humorous was from an old guy in Biloxi, MS. "Damn, that thing is all engine. What it that? A V-6?" Just makes me wanna>>  Smiley

Same here.  When they ask if it is new, they cannot believe it when I say my 97 is 18 years old!  Amazing!

I just rode 2900 miles on vacation and had folks compliment me so many times on the bike I cannot count them. They would walk right by the Harleys to look at my bike.  cooldude

My last stop was for gas about 60 miles from the office. Coon ass guy gets out of his truck & asks me if it's hot riding the bike. Conversation gets around to how much I paid for her & how old she is. "Man, dat bike be worth what....30 grand?" Only reply he got from me was a big cheesy grin.

When I decided last fall I was going to buy a Valk I remember reading on this forum of how the looks would come.  Boy did they ever and in Spades.  By far most talked about and stared at bike I have ever had.  Now I have three friends all strictly Harley riders ( only bike worth buying - right ) that want to take a spin on it.  I has already and he can not get enough superlatives out.  Oh well my problem.

"Sold ? "  Says the man with the shiny new f6b    2funny

Yeah gas stops take MUCH longer when you have a Valk because of the question and answer sessions if you dont watch the time

The folks you talk to at a gas stop on a long trip (especially in Texas its like 800 miles long) you may see all day  costs ya nothing to be pleasant and smile back

Glad you had a great ride Mark

I've gotten some of those at gas stops too. Wink

What kind of Harley is that?

When did Honda start making those?

I thought it was new!

Seriously...it's a '97?!?

Is that a V-8, V-6, a Boss Hoss....I've always wanted one of those.
