Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen. Now add this, many of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free healthcare provided by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens.  uglystupid2

Put that in your pipe and think about it for a while.

If you think the people in government are stupid then yes it can be hypocrisy, but what fits better is a plan put into action.

Agreed. So what can citizens who work their lives away and don't have much time for anything else to do? I'm sick of all the gripping too.

Know who you are voting for from city level up to the White House.

We actually do have models that actually worked for changing government. We see it with the gay movement and with the environmental movement. Start a group dedicated to people, "like we the people", donations web sites, groups and lobbying for the common people. The silent majority that needs a common voice with people to do the things necessary to get the attention of those in office. This while the public can get on with life but with the idea that they/we have a lobby group that we support. News letters, briefings, sharing direction and victories. Drawing people in to finally get excited that a group is dedicated to them. We see this excitement and being drawn in with O and now with Donald. I would love to see yes we can actually really mean something good to all. The evil ones have done this secretly in government for years, why couldn't the people have their voice, investigators, that would say the truth. Kennedy spoke about it before he was assassinated, he tried to turn this country in a direction for its own good. Vote yes but give people something to really vote for and when they do let it not be overturned by activist judges. That is when people will start to be motivated enough to get on board.

That all sounds good. The only problem is that the $$$ raised, which unfortunately is translated to how large your voice is, is instantly dwarfed by corporate money from the other side. For just one example, look at the GMO situation. There are many groups fighting for clear and honest labeling, cessation of GMO seeds, etc. They're up against some of the largest and most vile corps on the planet, like Monsanto. It's a constant uphill battle, more like a mountain actually. There has been progress, however. Several countries have recently banned all GMO crops, and forced Monsanto to 'leave the country'.  I think the battle can be won, but it's a very long road.

I agree but I will say a couple of words representative base, you said many groups and thank God they are there but that is the problem also. Their constituent base is small, a group kind of like the Tea Party but not as politically right would be supported by more of the population. This is the key, if you get one percent of the population to respond to a call for money or phone calls then it will say we do have influence. Also raising and supporting candidates that support your views is so vital. There were gay politicians that committed suicide career wise to enact legislation to support them. I also want to point out Bernie Sanders rally was stopped cold by those who were not supportive to say it nicely. This is what needs to be done to candidates that do not support the people. This was a key to the gays getting rights they stormed every meeting and hammered the speakers till they got what they wanted. Physically as well as just shouted them down. Activists are what is needed, so many don't have the time to get involved so make it easy in a news letter to keep people engaged. The ones with money sling money at a situation and pay for their ideals to be enacted. People do not have that kind of money or time but collectively they do and collectively have the power to truly change things. But it will take a coordinated effort to get things accomplished. Most know things need to change, black white Hispanics any group but the problem is we get promises and all the promises fall. Except to those who continue to pay and maneuver their way into candidates pockets. All this is not done with violence but with the political system and the rules it allows.

You better wake up, if you believe they work in your best interest, you are a fool. They work in their own best interest, what may be perceived as a win is just crumbs to them, to maintain their way of life. If you don't believe it, look back in our history the way it was, and the way it is now. History is our best teacher, if you can't recognize that then you deserve what you get, and have no one to blame but yourself. Bottom line is power corrupts most everyone. But when people just sit back and think they have it covered, or its not their problem, or think they are immune to the issue around us, seriously thinking they are making a difference, by just bitching about it. Wake up, open your eyes.

Well said, Robert. It's hard to find people that have the time, money and stamina to see things through. It sucks when you're up against lobbyists, corporate BS, and dark money to get any progress.
