Does a Glock go "click"?
«

In the Virginia shooting, where the shooter had a Glock, they said after a number of shots, that the gun went "click", and they knew the gun was empty.
Does a Glock do that? My Colt 1911 locks open when empty, and there is no click.
I have seen "in movies", semi autos go "click, click, click" when empty. I always assumed that was just movie magic. Do some autos go click when empty?

My semi-auto 22 Ruger goes click on the first pull past empty. Needs to fire to rooster, so 1 click would be possible for any semi-auto that does not stay open on last fire

Glock actions are open after the last shot. You can force the trigger and make it "click" but it feels different and takes more pressure. It's striker fired, not a hammer like a 1911. There is no "click click click" possible.
I've heard of some amazing gun lore from ignorant lefty reporters. One reported a perp was using a "9mm automatic revolver". Just the other day, one referred to all police sidearms as "revolvers" - which haven't been used as issue sidearms for a couple decades. There are more such fails that prove the ignorance of the media. I take anything they say with a shaker of salt.

If you are still standing around until the final click, you are a moron... or a sheep (or a reporter).

It was the lady wounded. Said he came to give her a head shot, and it went click. So possible once with glock.

Maybe it jammed because of the way the moron was shooting it. I have had a couple pistols that would jam if not held tightly.
