I remember, and never forget, or forgive.  I have just spent the night watching a recounting of 9\11.      I remember the account, up to that time, of the first bomb that was tried in 1993.  (The truck bomb).  Years afterwards, the history channels kept broadcasting one after another programs about how they did it and why it didn't succeed.   Somewhere around '09,10, after watching another broadcast,  my evil mind went to work.   I thought ,'What the hell,  a B-24, or 25 hit the empire state building in
ww2,  but it did'nt have enough mass or fuel to take it down.  Some time, someone, is going to figure out what went wrong in '93.  Circumstances led to a certain architectural student of Saudi decent to figure out. ( more mass, more fuel.)  Now, fourteen years later,  I wonder what is coming next.  I think that the next move will not be a relatively protected target, but something like a large school, to take the young and prove that we can be struck at any time. In other words to be nibbled to death by fish.
WE AIN'T DONE YET.  By the way, the 9/11 crane collapse on the grand mosque may be a warning of things to come.  I suspect another jihad against infidels.

The irony is, that crane (I read) is owned by Osama Bin Laden's family.

Tom Clancy figured it out long before bin laden.  In one of his books, he had a passenger jet crash into the capital building during the state of the union speech..  [and we have already had schools and theaters attacked...just not by jihadists]

I have a a few very good friends that are muslem.
What gets us into rather good discussions is why
the loving and true people of that religion will not
stand up and do something about the ones that
as we all know stolen their faith.
If you truly look into this faith you will find the people
very kind and giving.
Please donot judge them all by what we see all the
time on the news.
Honest anybody that truly believes in any God would not
be doing what the thieves of this faith have done.
I am trying to be a Cristian about this, I just hope
they try to do the same.
Well if not than like as always it,s war!!!!!!

On one level I'll admit I kinda smiled a bit at this but after further reflection... The majority of the folks who died in this most likely had nothing to do with anything against us, they were just going about their lives, worshiping as they were raised to do.

So... For any who died who harbored ill will against us in deed or support, good riddance.

To those who died because they were at the wrong place at the wrong time, my sympathies to their families.

Just my feelings...

Well said, Serk.  Some will want to say that karma or God brought about some sort of justice.  That is up to God or karma.  I, having nothing to do with it, have no reason to revel.  If we respond to being hated by hating are we not becoming precisely what we have come to hate?

I'm a bit torn myself.  I really, really despise what was done some fourteen years ago and I do want to have someone upon whom to focus my ire.  I just don't have it in me to celebrate the deaths of innocents or to call for nuclear annihilation of populations who have obviously chosen the wrong side.

I do support strongly our armed men who have placed themselves in harm's way for our own safety.  I believe strongly that had we not been in the near east causing harm to those evil persons they would have been here attempting more harm to us.  I support entirely the concept that any man who raises an arm or weapon against the people of the United States of America should be rightfully terminated by the armed force of the United States of America, active, retired, or otherwise released.

Anyone that says Islam is a religion of peace is either lying or greatly misinformed:

http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/quran/023-violence.htm

Quote
The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers for the sake of Islamic rule.  Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding.  Muslims who do not join the fight are called 'hypocrites' and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter.

Unlike nearly all of the Old Testament verses of violence, the verses of violence in the Quran are mostly open-ended, meaning that they are not restrained by the historical context of the surrounding text.  They are part of the eternal, unchanging word of Allah, and just as relevant or subject to interpretation as anything else in the Quran.

The context of violent passages is more ambiguous than might be expected of a perfect book from a loving God; however this works both ways.  Most of today's Muslims exercise a personal choice to interpret their holy book's call to arms according to their own moral preconceptions about justifiable violence.  Apologists cater to their preferences with tenuous arguments that gloss over historical fact and generally do not stand up to scrutiny.  Still, it is important to note that the problem is not bad people, but bad ideology.

Unfortunately, there are very few verses of tolerance and peace to abrogate or even balance out the many that call for nonbelievers to be fought and subdued until they either accept humiliation, convert to Islam, or are killed.  Muhammad's own martial legacy - and that of his companions - along with the remarkable stress on violence found in the Quran have produced a trail of blood and tears across world history.

Some of these 109 verses:

Quote
Quran (2:191-193) - "And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief or unrest] is worse than killing...
but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful.   And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah] and worship is for Allah alone.  But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zalimun (the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)"

Quote
Quran (2:216) - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not."

Quote
Quran (3:151) - "Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority".

Quote
Quran (4:76) - "Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah…"

Quote
Quran (4:89) - "They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks."

Quote
Quran (4:95) - "Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home), except those who are disabled (by injury or are blind or lame, etc.), and those who strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred in grades those who strive hard and fight with their wealth and their lives above those who sit (at home). Unto each, Allah has promised good (Paradise), but Allah has preferred those who strive hard and fight, above those who sit (at home) by a huge reward "

There's plenty more but you should get the idea.

My point is that Muslims who profess to be friends with Non-Muslims are either lying or they aren't fully practicing their religion.

I used to wonder how these people (Muslims) could be so cruel to other people. I have even seen with my own eyes (First Gulf War) the atrocities that they are capable of perpetrating even against other Muslims. I just couldn't understand how anyone could be so inhumane.

Several years ago I attended a conference given by an Egyptian fellow that is an expert in Islam. During the conference he made a statement that led to an epiphany for me. He listed several verses from the Quran that refer to Allah as the "Great Deceiver" and "The Deceiver of The Earth". Then he Referred to verses in the Bible that refer to Satan as the "Great Deceiver" and "The Deceiver of The Earth". He went on to explain that Allah was Satan. I suddenly fully and completely understood how these people could be so cruel to other human beings. I had always thought of Allah as a non existent, fictional god. But, the truth is that Allah is real and he is Satan. Muslims have been deceived, they believe that they are worshiping Allah (their god) when in reality they are bowing down to and worshiping Satan.
