Started out first thing with a major challenge, hate it when that happens before breakfast. Ended up ripping and tearing, out to the shop for a hammer and chisel and brought in my coping saw just in case. Almost had to take something to calm the nerves because the struggle went on for a good 20 minutes. Believe it or not, I was only trying to do something nice for my wife that she couldn't do for herself. I hate trying to open a new box of cereal.  Angry

That is the reason I have a nice big pair of scissors in the silverware drawer, saves those screaming trips to the shop.

Wife gets done with them and they go in my silverware drawer for future use.

I use the handle end of a spoon to get past the first part, then I grab the inner plastic and tear it apart just like skinnin' a squirrel.  No problem with spilling as the box is only half full  "Contents may settle"  Yeah, right!

What's even worse is the clear plastic seal around the top of eye drops and pill bottles.  Finally manage to get it off and then it sticks to my fingers from static.

Sorta like the sign in an Air Force office "Firearms will not be worn while using this copier!"

My Mom used to laugh about the debut of "cling type wrap". She had bought their first roll and was doing OK with it. Then Dad tried to use it. He wound up with several wadded up balls of the stuff, a lot of colorful language and the rest of the roll in the trash.  Grin
