Thanks a lot, everybody! I'm learning what many before me have already learned... old age ain't for wimps... but it sure beats the alternative! I had a good day... pizza and beer last night with some local pals. Rode for breakfast Saturday morning, but I didn't ride on my actual b'day... I reckon I just took lazy... did get in a couple of naps, though.

Our bike now has 495K, and we'll be rolling up a few more starting this weekend at the Fall Color Ride. Then we'll cruise on down to Louisiana, where we'll hook-up with JP (Hard Six) for the ride over to the Texas Hill Country Ride the following weekend. I kind of imagine there just may be a wee bit of partying during all of this, too.

Last I heard, MITCHO was going to join me at FCR for the ride to LA and then the THC ride... sure hope so, as he's a fabulous road partner! Whatever happens, however, that will leave one more official ride, Mac's Veterans Day Ride, to do this year. I'm thinking that somewhere in all of this the odometer will manage to creep above the 500K mile mark... What a ride it's been!!!

That's a great picture. Looks like Lesa has her hand on the source of all our troubles as we get older.  Grin

A most happy Birthday Bruce.  Had the extreme pleasure of meeting you first time in Madison, IN.
When you break that 500 k mark soon take a pic of the odometer.  Send off info to Honda.  They just may put you on a new Valkyrie.  Not that you would give up the old.

Happy birthday Bruce.  I know I am late but I at least thought of you.  I had such a great time with you at the D  R  U  in indiana and I was so pleased that you remembered me.  I will always treasure our friendship as I feel that you are an   I C O N  of  Valk riders.  I had good memories of Corbin ride but I am a bit standoffish and shy.  I do not meet people very well and due to age---I can  not  remember names.  I still struggle to recall faces,  BUT you my friend---ALWAYS LOOKING TO SEE YOU   !!!!!

Hope you had a fully restful day and slept with thoughts of future rides and new friends for you to meet in the future.. I know -----  you are one of a great number of special riders..  Did you get a taste of B  D  cake or did you opt for some liquid cornflakes ???

Hope to meet you again some where down the road--maybe INZANE XVI  ???
