I don't know why the Republicans are so eager to wash their dirty laundry on another left wing media channel with moderators biased to the left.
Surely it can't just be about revenue???
Let's have the debates scheduled at the same time as NFL and then really see how many Americans honestly care about the debates.
The debates seem to be more about whose more popular than who has the best policies.
Like being back at bloody High School.
Republicans have 11 debates.
Democrats 6.
Democrats are clever.

I hope they include others and not make it the Trump/Carson/Fiorina show again. I'd like to hear from them all them, especially on the topic of foreign policy because I don't believe that climate change is our number one problem.

CNBC @ 8 EST
I too would hope there is discussion about our real issues. It may be interesting [ probably not] hearing Trump whine about why he is no longer in first place. I wonder if there is a bidding war for these, or, if the Republicans are trying to reach out to everyone.

I have no inside info but I would think with CNBC doing it, they would focus on the economy.

I don't know much about CNBC. I looked into John Harwood a bit, and, it sure seems he is a guy from the far left. It'll be interesting to see how he handles himself tonight. I'm hoping he doesn't force me to watch the ball game. I'd really like to hear a good debate.

Will be recording the debate, while the media will be telling me all about who won and I'll be able to read about everyone's opinions on this and other forums, I'll decide for myself. Why would I record it? I'm a Royals fan, enough said.

Well, Ted Cruz just spoke and said it. He is fed up with how the democrats were pampered and catered to and that the republican debates, including this one, are completely different. He was right.
What I liked about this debate is that the candidates tended to work together and rose far above the what the moderators had to offer.
I think any of the candidates tonight are far better than anyone the democrats have.

so was rubio when he called the media the problem and calling Hillary and the media on the Benghazi email scam
I loved it when the audience booed the moderators for their bias

Once again Christie got screwed on air time and had to fight to be heard.
Cruz,Rubio,Carly and Huckabee did real well. Trump is still Trump to me, I still can't get a good read on him on foreign policy which wasn't touched on tonight.

The debates tonight had nothing to do with it but I find myself squarely in the Trump camp today. Got to see a speech he gave back in August. Spoke about foreign policy and seemed to know the players with in it, spoke to economics and was clear on his philosophy on it. Spoke on other topics and was clear and concise as well as entertaining.
And what struck me was that he did this for nearly an hour. With no script or teleprompter. No one wrote his speech, he didn't read it off some glass panel.
Mighty cursed Presidential looking to me.

Was going YESSS each and every time the candidates stuck it to the moderators and the left wing media in general for their weak and sometimes downright insulting questions. Cruz had a field day with them and the audience let the moderators have it more than once! comic Books? Online football gambling? Defaulting on a student loan? How Fiorina got fired? Do the liberals actually think those are relevant questions? May be a game changer on how the debates are structured from here on out. Hope so.

I had a good feeling about all the candidates tonight. They are all quality people in the political arena. Too early to start pulling for just one person from my recliner at this point. We all know that as the money fades so will the candidates. But I can say I wouldn't have a problem at this point casting a vote for anyone of them in a election with Hillary on the other side. Rubio is a young man to watch out for as we move forward. I think the field is stronger now than the last two cycles for sure.

MY CANDIDATE, TED CRUZ, hit the nail on the head about CNBC and the other media bias. He also did his usual great job laying out some specifics though time was so short. Please watch him. He has lots of common sense, a history of fighting for the Constitution, and willingness to take on anyone (even his own Republican party). Give him a look.

How could any one be surprised by the bias NBC demonstrates? Doesn't matter what letter(s) they put before or after it, it's still NBC. Where Al Sharpton has a daily primetime show. Where Rachel Maddow does O'Reily's show and then tells the audience, "But this is what they really mean" and then slams it out to LEFT field. Where they feel tingles when Obama speaks. Where they edit police released video and audio to racially electrify an unfortunate incident. Etc. I still don't why they agreed to do it on NBC. But it looked like it backfired on them. I think everyone in the room just about had it when he asked Huckabee if Trump was moral enough to be president. The audience growned and all the candidates went back on their heels.

Last night the country got to see what pure extremist Leftist media is about as these folks have very little audience other than the few nitwits that tune into them. Truth is most of the lame stream media is like this although they hold it a bit more cleverly. John Hardhead, Becky not so Quick, and Carl Qoo Qoo Quintanela sharpened their long knives for a week with the sole purpose of taking out as many of these candidates as to what they perceive as embarrassing positions. Instead like the villians in the 60's Batman shows - Bam, Zap, Kapow, they were taken down one by one by the un caped Republican Crusaders. It was the greatest beat down since Jerry Quarry got in the ring with Ali, Frazier, and Foreman. First Huckelby with a charming jab, then came the tremendous upper cut by Cruz, followed by body and head blows by Rubio, Trump, Christie, and Fiorini. When the dust had settled they were left to shrink back into their cuby holes and wait for the few thousand of their minions to tune into them the next day. But fear not minions. They will be back to sooth the aches you now feel today as you can not knock the sense out of the senseless. Remember Quarry came back time and time again. Chuck

I'm curious why you would consider him "far left" ? Just from what I read. That and because its NBC. But, I kept an open mind and hoped for a good debate. Actually I started to like the debate once Cruz fired his missile and the candidates came together. Had there been more time, or if the moderators actually had done their job, I think more of the issues would have been discussed. John Harwood ? I didn't anything about him before that. But, I now think he is so far left that he almost fell off the left side of his chair.
