hey all

I rode to lone pine California early October was camping out on the Whitney portal road for about a week watching the F-18s from china lake NAWS

it got windy so I put my guy lines on my tent witch I never did before. later that night im going to my bike and I trip.....HARD

ok im in midair so I throw my arms out for the impact, ive fallen before

well my right arm hits my saddle bag 90 degrees to what I was expecting and ............OUCHEWOWOW right arm HURT

I thought my shoulder was sprained bad so I got a sling and waited a week in my chair resting till I could barely ride {I should not of} from lone pine to ridgecrest 75ish miles

then I spent 11 days with asprin and a heating pad trying to get better

it was still hurting when I left ridgecrest, made it to kingman AZ. and I realize its still hurt so I go to hospital for xrays

well its BROKEN !!! upper right arm has a crack in it

so I stored bike in kingman and hopped a flight home

going for more tests I hope its just a cast I need, maybe surgery thou

so I broke it, time to take my medicine

360ish broken arm miles sheesh

it aint easy being me

Going to a doctor is like visiting with a trusted motorcycle mechanic.   Follow their advice or don't waste the time and money.   Get this fixed Dan and do what they tell ya to do, we still haven't shared any wind together.

Wondered why you haven't posted in a while, Dan.
Heal up.  Self diagnosis strikes again. See a sawbones and get fixed.  Usually no surgery on a humerus if it was in the center part of the bone and didn't splinter into several pieces.  Set it and forget it. Hope that is the case in your situation.  Take care.

I pray you heal fast and well!  It seems SLOW at first, believe me, I know..... Then before you know it its history.

One tip, exercise that hand while the cast is on......PT sucks and will be much worse for you if you need hand therapy too.

You sort of sound like me,  don't go to the dr. until it is REALLY, REALLY needed thinking it will heal all by itself sooner or later.

I waited 10 months on my knee kept thinking it will heal, but never got any better.  Had a very badly torn miniscus needing my first surgery at age 38 some 7 years ago.  Dr. told me how the heck did you live with that knee for so long after he did the surgery was worse than he thought it would be he said.  Stubborn as usual.
