interesting older bike in Northern Indiana - 1979 Kawasaki KZ1000 Full Dresser

Saw this bike for sale on one of the Goldwing sites I follow.  It is about 10 miles from where I grew up.  Don't know the bike or owner.  I use to ride with a guy that had a Kawasaki KZ1000.  Real nice bike in its day.  Owner sounds real interested in selling this bike and a 1999 GL1500 Goldwing that were owned by his Girl friends deceased husband.  Here is the link and write up for the ad:

I have a second bike for sale as well.

 We have a 1979 Kawasaki KZ1000 Full Dresser.

 This bike has been sitting in storage for 6 years but was tuned up and winterized beforehand.

 It has an aftermarket exhaust, but still have the original exhaust to go with the bike.

 This one is going to take a little more elbow grease to get it cleaned up as you can see by the pictures.

 We are asking $3500.00 OBO, but again please do not hesitate to make offers. No low balling please.

I had a KZ1000, really think I screwed up making it into a full dresser.   It was a blast riding naked but, one thing leads to another and before I got through, she was loaded down with all the add on(s).    Should have kept her and kept her naked.   She was a blast to ride.

I had one of those, with  a Vetter fairing and bags.  A very nice ride, with a lot of power. Wish I still had it, I replaced it with my Valkyrie, wish I still had it too but it was totalled last fall.  I'm on a Vintage Goldwing now.  Hoser

My first 'big bike' was an 82 KZ1000 CSR. Loved that thing! Was an absolute flying machine, just a bit cozy when riding 2 up.
Wish I still had it.
