Today I made a run to a Honda dealer about 40 miles north, pick up something I ordered for the 1200 project. While sitting at a light enjoying the cooler weather, I hear a lady on my left yell at me; "very nice buddy, love that saddle" and at the same time some guy on my right in a beat up p/u starts yelling about that huge engine and all that chrome.....adding "love that saddle."  He wanted me to pull over so he could take a closer look at the bike, I declined....told him I was running late. Both of them stayed next to me for the next couple miles taking pictures with their phones. Kinda makes you smile on the inside.

But, at the same time it is apparent they're out to get us. Going up I had some dingbat pull out in front of me, on the phone, never looked. Was a residential street and nobody was coming so just for fun I ripped around her and hit the air horn. She dropped the phone and jumped the curb at the same time. I noticed in mirror she had pulled over and stopped, both hands on the wheel. Guess the seating got a little warm and mushy maybe. In the same general area of town on my return I had the same experience....a guy on the phone pulls out in front. I also let him know my displeasure rather loudly, his response was the single digit IQ indicator. The same jerk later was in the straight through lane and when the green left turn arrow came on, he makes a left turn in front of the entire line. Only this time it wasn't me that showed their displeasure which pleased me no end. He meekly pulled into a pkg. lot with the squad right behind him, I honked as I rode by. Strange....no IQ indicator this time.  Grin

Don't you get a nice fuzzy when that happens, John?

Many years ago, some arsehole passed me on a double yellow in his Caddie, smoking a stogie, looked like a used car salesman.  Right behind him when the road straightened, was a beige sheriff car.  The arsehole was chewing the heck out of his stogie when I waved as I went by.

What I found amusing was the scenario where the guy cut off the left turners. It's a rather busy intersection and the cop was sitting in the left turn lane of the cross traffic, right in plain view. The dufus hadn't even cleared the corner and the cop was already making a U-turn with his lights on. I think if the jerk had motioned to the car next to him for permission to turn in front, the cop most likely wouldn't have done a thing. But the guy almost caused an accident with his stupid trick. Sometimes karma works great.  Wink
