Do you "therapist" actually have a point?

Or are we to assume you are in full agreement with the content of the video?

If so please advise us when YOU will be moving in to a cave and completely living off the land. Oops, according to the video you can't even do that.

What utter tosh.

I agree that man has not been a good caretaker of what he has been given but that pales in comparison to what man has done against his fellow man. Plus today what the powers that be are doing to the population of the US. From eliminating the Constitution to lack of financial accountability to putting people in bondage.

Well, you know what they say about people who assume.
As it says in the subject-"thought provoking". As in, might
prompt a reaction/discussion.

I do believe corporate greed, fueled by the population's insatiable hunger
for more-more-bigger-more, is very real. I also believe our fellow creatures
have certainly been objectified and have become merely "things and products".

No...not ready to live in a cave...although anyone who doesn't see the decline
of the planet's well being, must certainly reside in one.

You have a car?

I rest my case about the hypocrisy of the left leaners.

The irony of the whole thing:  Using the tools of technology to bring the animation to millions of people who are using the tools of technology to watch it.

Why is it that the proponents of population reduction never lead by example?

Well, I guess at least he's trying to do something about it...

NYU Professor of bioethics Matthew Liao is advocating forced human breeding programs to make smaller/shorter humans to reduce our carbon footprint, genetic engineering to introduce allergies to meat to force us to be vegan (To reduce our carbon footprint) and forced medication to reduce testosterone, I guess so he doesn't get shot when he comes to force his other ideas on us?

I don't believe that it's gonna go down that way; the slow decline and fall of the human condition.           I believe that sometime, somehow, and somewhere, somebody's gonna turn the keys and push the button.  Doesn't matter who or what nationality or what country.  Almost happened in October, 1962 and would have if General Curtis LeMay had his way.  Then it's the finale of "Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb."

Not hardly.  There won't be anyone alive to blame anyone about anything.  That's the point you don't seem to understand.  What ain't there to perceive, ain't there.  Good thing out of all of it may be that the VRCC forum won't have any more debatable issues with global warming.  I'm guessing the bitchin' about radiation conspiracy theories will begin after the first big flash, though. What a bunch of hogwash. Definetly thought provoking. I am thinking, how could anyone be swayed by this feeble attempt to further an obviously flawed and incomplete hypothesis.

We are the stewards of the planet.  That includes everything,

We have met the enemy and he is us   POGO for you too young look it up

Much of the planet is undeniably polluted in a disgusting way, because there is no
recycling or proper disposal of trash, human and other waste and plastics
Just look at the pics Strider posts from Angola and that is just tip of the iceberg
Phillipines, China, India  the list goes on

Anything that draws attention to the problem which IMHO is a real problem we can fix
unlike global warming which is a stupid hypothesis which discounts the role of the SUN
is a step in the right direction.  Aliens setting things right, well its just one man's pipe dream
not mine

Would sure love to see Obama or any candidate say  " Lets make money for our citizens
by allowing industry to work cleaning and recycling the planet and
reward industry for taking steps along the way to make it happen worldwide"

Naw.  wont happen. Too bad

World without people would be much better off. Hate to say it but we are not doing a good job. Nuclear war,  if the world leaders have their way yup it could happen. No matter what happens the world will recover. Maybe we will get out act together some day and clean up our mess but not in my lifetime. I'm just glad I'm living in a place that's safe and clean for now.

maybe, but for who? It's really kind of a moot statement, isn't it? I guess all the other animals who only objective is to survive, might be better off. Of course cows would still cause climate change with their output, and they would all vanish anyway, right?

Typical liberal overstatement.  When I was a kid back in farm country they told us to raise all we could or the world would starve.  Things haven't changed all that much over the last 60 years as far as that goes.  Maybe if we hadn't been so good at it there wouldn't be all of these billions of people around now overcrowding the planet.  Nature (or ISIS/or Dr. Strangelove) will catch up to the problem someday.  When that happens we will just wish we could argue over tires/oil/color and all of the other fun stuff.
I agree with Oss, when we make cleaning up a business instead of a government mandate there are enough smart young folks around to make it work.

The climate will change weather we like it or not. It's been changing since the beginning of time. I just think the Earth would be better off without 6-9 billion people. We must control the population some day.
