I'm really unclear as to what's going on here.  Terry was auctioning off a single coffee cup?

It's reported that multiple people have paid their high bids.  Are there more mugs than one?

Mama has gotten a request to process someone's credit card.  She really can't do that although it is possible for the VRCC to process through the vendor we use to process sales for us.  The sales relationship would need to be activated for that.

Someone needs to clarify exactly what is being offered and how.  At one point the word donate was used, I believe.  I avoid the use of that term in that it implies something that isn't the case.  The VRCC is not legally a charitable organization.

Someone said "Pie Auction" and I just couldn't help myself!
After all Terry has done for for the VRCC, this seemed like a good time.  I don't care if I get a mug or not, just sent a few $$ to help out.  The mug would just be a plus.

I might be misunderstanding the thread. But my take was that it morphed from bidding on a cup with a special prize (that I took to be another cup) into t-man was going to get some more mugs which were going for the $100 bid price each. I was going to mail the check to Motomamma tomorrow . But I might have it all messed up. I took it as a way t-man thought up to raise funds kind of like with the calendars.

Nothing complicated here.

This started off as a way to raise some operating funds for the "VRCC". I was offering to the highest bidder, one Honda mug + bonus prize. The bonus prize was to try and encourage higher bids just like happens at InZane for the charity drives when folks pool their money, which has involved a pie or two, which is great!
I messed up the closing time by a full day (yesterday) and in order to gather more funds for the "VRCC", proposed to the losing bidders that if they honor their bid to the "VRCC", I would send them a mug less the bonus prize.

Anyone that supported "Misfit"s group (Pooling your money) will receive a mug + bonus prize.

So that's it and as of now this auction has ended.

Thanks to all that got involved.

I will be paying via paypal and I will pay the fee at my end.

Edit: payment sent.

Correct!
If your doing the $100, your getting the mug + bonus and you'll just have to wait for delivery to see if your right about the bonus!  Wink

Since I lost the bid I guess I will just have to send a  $100.00 check to the VRCC.
It will be in the mail by Thursday.

+1, that and it just didn't seem right with him and T-Man having to carry much of the weight, they're carrying quite a bit already.  Like I said I didn't ante in for a prize and don't want a mug or anything, just wanted to help a great club that has helped me many times.

I just checked with Rocky Honda and they have enough mugs no problem .... so that's good!

Still would like to hear from BF and Chrisj CMA (away) as to whether they are in or not so I have the final count.

When I left to go to HI I was a bidder.  I have no clue about the rest of it.  I guess I'm not in it for any final count

For all that stepped up in support of the VRCC, your mugs left my house today via FedEx Ground. Keep an eye out. Terry, your thank you gift went out as well in the mail today. Seth and Tom I have your mugs here at my place and will hook you up the next time I see you. Thank you Terry and all that participated.  cooldude
