I did my part saturday morning. Got a nice big doe. Shot her at about 50 yards with my 44 mag lever action open sights and dropped her in her tracks. This was around 7:30 am. Let her lay for 3 hours while i still hunted. Saw a couple nice shooter bucks but never got a shot. This one will be turned into several rolls of summer sausage and jerky.  Got her cut upmand put in coolers tonight. Now just need a few more to fill the freezer with summer sausage.

Good job, the other evening as my wife was coming home from church she saw one and stopped, it crossed and she started back up and another hit her car in the side.  1800 bux in damages.  like above said kill em all.

SUMMER SAUSAGE !  Ah man, that and putting it in a canning jar is all I care about.
I just filet them out and use the loins for roasts or quick fried sandwiches, the rest goes in the canning jars or off to the Mennonites to make make SUMMER SAUSAGE. That such is sooooo good.

Whoa ! There are parts of the country that have a 22 limit ? Does it matter the method ? And is it just for residents ? We used to have a limit of 6 out on Kodiak and I thought that was huge.  Shocked

22 ?  Geeez, and, I thought we were bad being able to get 8 tags.

I can remember drawings for doe tags which required 4 people for that one tag. Some years you didn't get drawn. Insurance companies want every deer killed.
