This morning,  finally made the commitment to finish renovating the girls' old rooms, and had every intention of getting the floors down today. After several hours, I took a peek outside and lo and behold the sun was shining, the morning frost was disappearing, and suddenly those floors didn't seem all that important... dropped everything cooldude

So, with the co-pilot at work and the Valk sitting in the garage begging for some attention after me travelling back and forth to NY for work the past couple of weeks, I headed out Hwy 7 from headquarters here in MR, eastward bound towards the town of Hope, about a 350 km (200 mi) run  taking the back roads through Hatzic (for those of you familiar with the Rambo movies, Hope BC is where they filmed the first one - First Blood).

After a very long and warm Spring, Summer, & Fall, nice to see some snow back up on those peaks

Overlooking Fraser River delta

Rolled into Harrison village for a coffee, and saw this nice 30's (?) Ford

Harrison Lake, where we spend a lot of time in Summer months boating & fishing

On the way home, past Harrison River...Great fishing here for cutthroat trout, salmon, and monster sturgeon  cooldude

Back roads through Hatzic Valley...my co-piolt's favorite "local" ride. Hit the throttle a little too soon after taking off from the grass here and fishtailed - just about wrenched every muscle in my body keeping the bike up...Geeesh, gotta be a bit more careful, not a youngster anymore uglystupid2

Almost back home, but still some light left, decided to head up to Alouette Lake, only about 15 minutes from headquarters...looking peaceful, a perfect ending to brisk but nice late Autumn ride Smiley

As shown in these photos, lots of big lakes, rivers, and mountains in this neck of the woods....makes for great local riding and fishing - my two passions

Arriving home with about 45 minutes to spare before the co-pilot gets home from work, I clean the Valk and start up on that darn flooring again...weather forcast for Sunday is looking pretty good too though cooldude

It's been a while since I've been thru your neck of the woods. I forgot how beautiful it is. Nice report. Flooring is always the lowest priority in my book.  cooldude

Love these pics MSB and enjoy all the ride reports with pics, especially since the area I ride in in SW Ohio is for the most part quite undramatic.  You are a lucky person.  I am assuming that Harrison Village is next to or part of Harrison Hot Springs.  Could I be right?

Absolutely Chuck, that is Harrison Hot Springs. One of the first places I tell first time visitors to SW BC to visit.

Thanks Mike, good decision for the ride and nice pictures.

Tess and I was going to ride out to Langley also yesterday, then I started to get one of my migraines, and it was out.

Is that mist on the water from a hot spring on Harrison lake?
