Damn it was 38 degrees here in Arizona this morning. Guess it's time to get the Chaps out of the closet.
What are you folks using on Leather Chaps? Anything easy like just spray it on?
Mine are probably two years old and only been worn 4 or 5 times. Never been treated.

There are several treatments for leather. Just like shoes. I use mink oil, just work it into the leather, and buff the excess off with a soft cloth. I have never seen anything easy that works good, and lasts.  |

I have used stuff called Ducs Back, and also mink oil, I got it at the local leather shop. Keeps it pliable, stops cracking and waterproofs it. Also keep it looking newer.

I have never seen anything easy that works good, and lasts. Plus a bunch on the Mink Oil. AND makes them easier to clean bugs off of once treated. Keeps the boots nice also. RIDE SAFE. |

I'm kind of with "Oss", Mine are over 30 years old and have never treated them. Cleaned bugs off with damp cloth is all. I have used mink oil on my 38 year old H.D. Motor Jacket a couple of times. And "yes" it still fits me.

I use this stuff on all my leather products and more. http://www.uradeast.com/Products.html I buy it at the bike show or the home show as they are always there wanting to do a demo on your shoes\boots......they only do one!  Easy peazy to say the least. The neutral color does every thing but if you have areas that are badly scuffed, I'd recommend getting black if thats the color of your chaps. |

I use Doc Bailey,s leather black. it cleans, nourishes, waterproofs,and restores color. If your chaps are other than black they do make a neutral also. Takes Very little you put some non a dry cloth rub on good and then I usually let it sit overnight then wipe with a dry rag . Lasts a long time and works really well. Ive used on jackets, chaps, and boots.
