Missing a period. Boy, that can lead to a very nerve racking experience.  A few girl friends have mentioned that, makes for a few restless days. Glad I no longer have have to worry about such things.   Smiley

3rd party politics is always interesting.

Lots of folks can't seem to see the complexity of it. Electing someone to the Presidency isn't the means to achieve the political change desired.

Congress makes the laws. To have a strong 3rd party, you must start there. Get more and more 3rd party candidates to Congress. Bring legislation to the floor. Start a record of legislation and policy positions. Once established, from THAT bring the leadership up for Presidential Candidacy.

To run a 3rd party candidate for President without such support is a waste of time and effort.  Even if the candidate wins, he or she faces a Congress that will not have the same policy positions and will simply not pass or even care to debate legislation favored by such a 3rd party.

A major push for a significant 3rd party Congressional delegation is the ticket.

No I understand. It just dosent make sense to me to vote for someone or something that you don't like just so the other thing or guy doesn't wins. ...
I don't know I guess I see rainbows and unicorns in my little world.  2funny

The choice of vote is driven not only by how much one wants the candidate for whom he is voting but perhaps also by how badly he doesn't want a win for the one against whom he is voting.

Rainbows and Unicorns?  Smiley  We're going to agree on that one, Brian.  Incidentally you missed a period.  That's often a very bad thing.   Wink

The two major parties across the country are regularly vying for the small uncommitted group of voters in the middle.  In individual smaller samplings that may not be the case.
