While I'm not completely comfortable about being a profiled motorcyclist I will put up with it if they profile illegal aliens in Texas and Arizona,  or if the majority of criminals happen to be black, be mad at the people that put you in that category.   If you are Muslim and the majority of terrorists prove to be Muslim be mad at the people who put you in that category.  If doing sobriety check point at 2am
gets drunks of the road so be it.  Profiling can save lives.
Coming home from work I was stopped several times because of the time or once because my headlight was out.  They checked me out saw that I had a clean record and sent me on my way.
If I offended anyone here I apologize. But I think profiling is an effective tool to catch criminals and I have nothing to hide.

I figure I'm on the Obama watch list anyway so, I'm not real concerned about this.   Sorry but, a guy's got to have his priorities.    Radical Islam is a problem right now that really needs to be addressed and our President doesn't seem to see the need.

While no one wants to be profiled, Obviously they aren't concerned with the majority of clubs in the COC, but are with the 1% clubs that are members......

While no one wants to be profiled, Obviously they aren't concerned with the majority of clubs in the COC, but are with the 1% clubs that are members......

I am a member of the MI COC and I know that 1%er's are also protected by the Bill of Rights.
Family Riding Clubs, Motorcycle Ministries, Veterans M/Cs as well as "Outlaw" clubs are comprised of patriotic American citizens that obey the laws of this country and support their families, friends, neighbors, schools and charities. Labeling someone as an "outlaw" is a form of profiling. I've known members of those clubs for years and have never met a single "criminal". Yet I also know a few VRCC members that have a "criminal" past. I also know a few CMA members and supporters that have prison records. If one (or even a few) members of an organization are law breakers,....does that make all of the organization guilty? If you, as a VRCC member, wear a patch (VRCC) on your back, or even a CMA patch, doesn't this show an allegiance to a belief or mutual admiration society.
The AMA, MRF, ABATE and the CoC's have all been supporters of individual rights and have all come under suspicion of (so called) law enforcement simply because their memberships are comprised of motorcycle riders. Do you believe that this would be the case if their memberships were comprised of drivers of Chrysler PT Cruisers or Ford Aerostars?  Motorcyclists have and will be targeted as we tend to look different as we might dress different or use a non-traditional form of transportation. Doe the NRA do criminal background checks on all their members?
When law enforcement targets motorcyclists, we are all at risk. We cannot bury our heads in the sand and say "it's the other guy", when in truth it is all of us.

Just because you haven't met a single criminal in the club doesn't mean anything to me. Check the history of them and even recent news they have made. Seems like a pot calling the kettle black with regard to a head in the sand. I guess we'll agree to disagree.

In your case, I suspect, you're improving with age like a fine wine.   angel
