For example, here in central Florida it still hits the 80's quite regularly. Yet I see people, young and old alike, wearing the hoods up on their sweatshirts. And all summer long I see certain elements of the population wearing what I refer to as stocking caps or toboggans as my wife calls them. Often wondered why, aren't they for keeping your head warm in cold weather? Same with the sweatshirt, when the temp is like the surface of the sun, what's with wearing a sweatshirt to begin with and then putting up the hood. Dumb!

Can someone enlighten me on this, what are they hiding....if anything?   uglystupid2

Reason I asked is because yesterday while running errands, I saw a kid on a zip-splat screaming through traffic doing a lot of lane jumping. This dufus was in shorts, flip-flops, sweatshirt with the sleeves cut off with the hood up.....and no helmet. Knowing that's really going to help if he goes down.

Insecure people almost always dress in clothing which they think is "stylish" rather than for the weather. uglystupid2

Hoodies actually have a very good practical use case scenario, but all these idiots are wearing 'em backwards!

There is a sign on a local gun shop door here. "Remove hoodies and sunglasses before entering"

I think that the owner will have his Glock out before the "hoodie' walks through the door.  Smiley

Saw a couple the other day, they had their pants tucked into their socks, hooded and showing off their 200 Buck Jordan tennie pumpers.  Wondered if the hoodies helped them attain the shoes.

Sounds like every kid on all the basketball teams football teams and baseball teams in my kid's school going to practice.  Only difference is the Jordans are in the backpacks and they wear flip flops.

the Hoodie craze makes about a much since as wearing a stocking cap in 80 degree weather.  Just a fad.

I do put my Hoodie up when its raining here and I am walking out of the place where I work out to the truck.  Hate to get rain on my glasses.   crazy2 crazy2

They cover up their head but don't cover up their arses with their fall down pants.

Yeah, makes perfect sense.  Oh well, everything evens up.  The pants trip them up when they run.

The actual use for hoodies is a warm up device to loosen up and warm athletes before a sports contest. They usually had the name of their school and or the players name on it. Team members could wear their "sweats" as they were called on game days.  Back to the  dress code the rest of the week.  A chick magnet , by the way.  This was a very long time ago, I would not be surprised it was still done in a few smaller rural schools.  It is at my grandson's school.  Thank God for that.  Hoser
