The lift bracket that stays on the bike that's bolted where the kick stands goes, is that something that would be good to have ? Do any of you guys use this?

Many of us have one. I have one. You have to be careful of how you balance your
bike on there and make sure you don't put stress on the headers.

As someone who has driven off with the other kind still on there, I'm sure
it is worth the extra trouble for me...

Yeah my friend said I could have his, he ordered one and somehow got two in the mail I told him I would buy it and he could mail the guy the money, nice Christmas present, I'm going to put it on tomorrow, thanks again.

I have one....love it.  Ya just mount it and forget it, it's there when/if you need it, regardless where you might be.
