Well, not that kind of close call... I rode to Bass Pro Shops to finish off Christmas shopping.  Perfect weather, didn't need gloves or a jacket.  Anyway, on the way back, cruising on the 25 miles up our "mountain" I look down and noticed the bolt that holds the peg on the left side highway peg is about to fall out.  My plan was to pull over and either tighten it or remove it until I can get home.  Well, there was no place to pull over safely, so I repositioned my foot so the heel of my boot was pushing the bolt back in, so I just rode like that until I got home.

Put it back together with blue loctite.

Can you imgine how hard it would to explain a Valkyrie loosing a foot peg like a HD...... Oh, my!

I have a lady friend who asked for help adding Kury Iso pegs to her Harley Lowrider front-rear-hwy pegs, iso grips, brake cover, shift peg.  No big deal, and when it all came in, she rode over and I put it all on for her.  Plenty tight.

A month later I am told one fell off and another is loose.

OH crap.  I don't need locktite on my Hondas, but without locktite, nothing stays put on a Hog.  My Hog has been gone for 10 years.... I forgot.  My bad.

Just got a call from a friend.

He lives inside I285 the Atlanta ring road. Lives in a sub division of about 1 acre plus lots. Big enough lots for developers to scrape off the older homes to build large ones.

Anywho, he coasts down a long hill, makes a left and then it's immediately left into his driveway. Drop the clutch and ride uphill alongside his house to put bike away.

As he performed the turn into driveway he looked to his right and saw that someone had left an 8 point buck shooting dummy in his side yard. About 8 feet from where he was.

He and the buck both raced uphill and Ian is thankful that the buck decided to veer to the right.

Could have been some kind of a record to get knocked off yer bike by a deer in yer driveway.
