Just heard a couple HD's just cruising down the street. Weather still good here, but I guess the weekend weather is going to take a drain.

Think Summer!! or even Spring!

I'm strongly considering taking the Valk to work tomorrow - 40 miles each way. Should have taken it today - lows in the upper 50s'...

Got a short ride in today.  coolsmiley In my book-54 miles IS a short ride!  Roll Eyes Couple crappy days ahead and SHOULD start warmin back up fer da weekend.  cooldude Course I trust weather guessers a bit more than politicians.  Lips Sealed  Saw most of the dire snow predictions for our northern bros and sisses.  Undecided  O-K  admit it-caint handle winter no mo!  2funny RIDE SAFE.

put the Valk and scooter up today for it's long winter nap finally.  First year ever in I did not put up either before Dec. 1st.

Only good thing I found out is all this summer my scooter would not crank over at all when pushing the starter button, thinking it is the starter button of some sort, always happening when sitting for 2-10 days or so of NON riding, NEVER had issues same day if driving it any would crank right over.
Well,  the scooter was deader than a doornail since has not been ridden in over 3-4 weeks now and colder temps.  I pushed starter button and NOTHING.  I checked my 4 year old battery and voltage was 11.4 volts.  I took it out and overnight charged it on my 1.0 amp battery charger was up to 12.4 volts again and fired right up.  Guessing next spring best be checking for a new battery on sale.  I am hoping it is not the starter button going bad and based on this scenario,  my guess is battery going bad by sitting not driving for 2-10 days or so at a time battery not holding a charge.

And the problem is? I haven't quit riding yet. This weather is the bonus plan and I take advantage of it when ever I can. They still say "BROWN" Christmas which is fine with me. Not so hot for the kids but for us big kids it's great. My plow still sets next to the garage where it's been since last winter.
Us northerners usually get dogged by the southerners cause they ride all year long. I say this every year, I hope they poop their pants!  cooldude  As long as their is no salt on the road I will ride even if it's 30 degrees or even colder out.

I stored the Miata over a month ago.  Sure wish I hadn't as I've missed some good warm days. Seen many HD's riding.

The Miata has summer UHP tires but when it gets below 55 degrees, the tires turn square and don't hold very well.   Maybe I'll change to UHP all seasons next year instead.

It was 14 below on the south rim of the canyon this morning.  That means statewide anyway, we're seeing a 130 degree temperature swing between summer and winter, well, fall.  Should be good practice for living on Mars.
